Check out 0:34 all of the fresh merch designs as well, 0:36 including playerlicicensed gear at foul 0:38 territorieshop.com. 0:41 All right, guys. Now, which playoff 0:43 series are we the most excited about? 0:46 Let's take a look at the remaining 0:48 playoff bracket, shall we? 0:51 All right, so we know now that uh the 0:53 Atlanta Braves have advanced having beat 0:55 the Phillies yesterday. We talked about 0:57 it last night. Go to that YouTube show 0:58 and check it out. Uh Socks and 1:00 Guardians, of course, an AL Central 1:02 matchup, Yankees and Rays, and then of 1:05 course San Diego and the Brewers. All 1:07 right, uh Eric, we'll start with you. 1:08 What are you looking forward to? I mean, 1:11 I gotta go got to go to Miwok. The best 1:14 team in baseball record-wise, the best 1:17 pitcher in baseball, Jacob Miseroski, 1:20 going against the hottest lineup in 1:23 baseball. So, we don't even have to 1:25 wait. We don't have to wait for game two 1:27 for the best pitcher to be thrown out 1:28 there, Guardians. I want to see the 1:31 Padres's taking on the Brewers and see 1:33 see that clash. 1:36 >> That is a very, very good pick. I am, 1:40 listen, there's some big games going on, 1:42 but I am more intrigued to see this 1:44 White Sock team, man. To see if they can 1:46 ride this wave against the Guardians. 1:48 Uh, I I just want to see another 1:51 champagne celebration and and just hear 1:53 the boys in there go crazy. I mean, the 1:57 stuff they've been saying just 1:58 absolutely comical. I would like to see 2:01 this squad kind of finish what they're 2:03 starting here right now. And I I just 2:05 think they have the tools. They're not 2:07 afraid of anything. and they are just a 2:09 team that's just going to go play no 2:10 matter who they play. So, Guardians need 2:13 to beware. I think that's very 2:14 intriguing. Um, that's the game I'm very 2:17 intrigued to watch. I I think that 2:19 series is going to be very, very 2:20 special. 2:21 >> All right, Munitaka Murakami, always a 2:23 good sound bite. He is a funny guy. And 2:25 congratulations to Will Venible. Many 2:27 thinking he is the AL manager of the 2:30 year. Okay, guys. Lots to get to. Let's 2:32 charge the mound. 2:35 >> He's charging the mound. 2:38 All right, Braves and Dodgers. A big 2:41 series of course coming up in the 2:42 National League. The Dodgers have been 2:44 waiting, having watch parties, waiting 2:46 to see who they were going to face, and 2:47 now they know it's the Atlanta Braves. 2:49 Congratulations to Walt Weiss and his 2:51 crew. Uh Eric, what do you like about 2:53 this series? What will you be looking 2:55 for? I know you said Padres's Brewers 2:57 intrigues you, but when we're talking 2:58 Braves and Dodgers, what do you like? 3:01 I mean, just the absolute depth of this 3:04 team from lineup to rotation. 3:07 I like the fact that the Dodgers, while 3:10 it was never really in question, it got 3:13 close at some point that you know what, 3:15 if they don't get this by, how does this 3:18 team's, you know, health in their lineup 3:21 string out? To me, to me, I don't think 3:23 like the guys that struggled in 3:25 September or the guys that were 3:26 struggling in August were like just 3:29 aging during the season. I just think 3:31 they played a lot of games and I think 3:33 these these days off helps this team get 3:36 locked in, ready to go. I'm excited to 3:38 see how they how much damage they can do 3:42 against a little bit more tired 3:45 Atlanta Braves rotation and decently 3:50 used bullpen in the last series. 3:52 >> Fras, I want your opinion on this 3:53 because there seems to be a little bit 3:55 of a budding rivalry uh between the Los 3:57 Angeles Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves. 3:59 I mean, these are teams that are 4:00 perennially, at least in the postseason 4:02 picture, the conversation, but through 4:04 playoff meetings um they've had some 4:06 interesting times. So, in 2018, a 4:08 Dodgers NLDS win. 2020, a memorable 4:11 Dodgers comeback from that three games 4:12 to one deficit. Of course, they ended up 4:14 winning the World Series against the 4:16 Rays that year. Um, Mookie Bets, the 4:18 great catch in 2020. And then in 2021, a 4:21 Braves NLCS upset in route to their most 4:25 world recent World Series title. So, 4:27 there's a lot to talk about when these 4:28 two teams go head-to-head. Is there 4:31 something in particular you're going to 4:32 watch for? Yeah, I I think uh Scooble is 4:36 one I I I just he's on a different team. 4:40 Um and he's, you know, he's rearing 4:44 back, ready to fire. I mean, he's he's 4:45 one of those guys that, you know, with 4:47 the Tigers, he's their number one. Now, 4:49 you come to the Dodgers. I'm not saying 4:51 he's not, but this is a different kind 4:53 of atmosphere that he has to really go 4:55 into. And for him, Yeah. Do things 4:58 change? No, not necessarily. But you're 5:00 playing against a team that has beaten 5:02 you five straight times and that's 5:04 coming in here that has got a little 5:06 fire up their rear end for lack of 5:08 better words. They're ready to go. 5:09 They're not afraid to go to LA. They are 5:11 not afraid to face these big Giants. The 5:13 Dodgers have had a lot of injuries. But 5:15 guess what? When the Dodgers all of a 5:17 sudden the playoffs come, 5:19 >> the tick meter goes up and all of a 5:21 sudden the pressure goes on everybody 5:22 else. I need to see Ronald Akuna Jr. get 5:25 going here a little bit. That's another 5:26 guy I need to see him get fired up. 5:29 Whether he's leading off, batting, 5:30 second, whatever. He needs to set the 5:32 tone for this Braves team. Enough of the 5:34 two hits and and and bust here in this 5:37 last series. The other guys carried him 5:39 a little bit. It's time for him to step 5:41 up, get going, and just and ride that 5:43 wave. If he goes, the Braves are going 5:45 to have a really good time playing this 5:47 team. But ultimately, you got to go up 5:49 on this Dodger team and you got to stay 5:51 up on this team because they have a lot 5:53 of firepower. If you're looking at just 5:55 starting rotations, EK, you obviously I 5:57 would think you'd go with the Dodgers, 5:58 but the Braves certainly a formidable 6:00 club in terms of offense is concerned. 6:02 And Fre mentioned TKO. I love the love 6:05 affair between Tercoel and Blake Snell. 6:07 That's something for another time. But 6:09 you look at Scooble and he uh had a 6:11 quote with Bill Shiken who covers uh 6:14 baseball for the LA Times, now the 6:16 California Post, I guess. But um he's 6:18 saying that 6:20 if he does not get a championship, he 6:22 will consider it to be a bit of a 6:25 disappointment as far as his career is 6:27 concerned. You can see the quote there. 6:29 He said, "Yes, I think winning is the 6:31 most important thing." So I think it's 6:32 fair to say if I retire and don't have 6:35 one, that will definitely be something 6:36 that I don't know when I will live down. 6:38 Um this is the best chance he has to get 6:41 it right as a Dodger in the moment. 6:42 Obviously, the Tigers not even in the uh 6:45 the postseason picture. Where he goes 6:47 from here, we don't know. But a good 6:50 opportunity for Scooble to get that 6:51 championship. 6:53 >> It might it might piss people off. But 6:55 if they don't if the Dodgers don't win 6:56 the championship this year, that means 6:59 maybe TK might go chasing it again with 7:02 the Dodgers for next year. You know, 7:04 obviously we got a lot of time to 7:05 discuss that in the offseason, but this 7:08 is refreshing to me because the game of 7:11 baseball rarely are people willing to 7:14 put themselves out there like, well, 7:15 this would actually diminish my career a 7:17 little bit if I didn't win a 7:18 championship. Football, I mean, you you 7:21 base you base the greats at the 7:23 quarterback position because of a 7:26 championship. Like different guys at 7:27 different positions, you're like, "Well, 7:29 did he win a championship?" Oh, that's a 7:31 little bit of a diminished, you know, 7:33 value. Basketball all the time. They're 7:36 always judging the greats on 7:38 championships. So, I love that Scooble, 7:40 who wants to be one of the greats, wants 7:42 to be judged whether he wins a 7:44 championship or not. And I think it's I 7:46 think it's his own words, and it just 7:48 shows it's a glimpse of how he thinks 7:51 and how he goes about his work every 7:52 day. 7:53 >> All right, Bill Shen still with the LA 7:55 Times, guys. I wanted to make that 7:56 correction. Frasier, let's talk about 7:57 the offense for a hot second. Um the 8:00 Dodgers, no better offense uh in the 8:02 majors during the first half of the 8:03 season than them, but they've really 8:05 scuffled uh the last couple of months 8:07 coming into this into the postseason 8:09 really down the stretch. Um how much 8:11 does that matter? Do do they flip that 8:13 switch that you talked about? 8:15 >> Oh, of of course. I I don't think it 8:17 matters at all. I mean, you take, you 8:20 know, for an example, Austin Wells 8:22 struggled this year and all of a sudden 8:23 he's starting to take off a little bit 8:24 in the playoffs. It doesn't matter what 8:26 you do in the regular season. Everybody 8:28 starts at zero as we all know Mookie 8:30 Betts, uh, Freddy Freeman. When you hear 8:33 these names and you see these guys get 8:35 up, and I'm not even talking about the 8:37 big dog, as we all know with Show, but 8:40 these guys have been there before. These 8:42 guys understand it. They could take 8:43 these young guys by the side and say, 8:45 "Yo, relax a little bit." Tercoa gets 8:47 out of hand. Uh, pitching, he gets a 8:49 little erratic. All of a sudden, hey, we 8:52 got guys glass now. Guys can settle each 8:54 other down. I think that's the 8:56 camaraderie they have, the culture that 8:58 they have. It starts with Dave Roberts. 9:00 And I think what they do best is they 9:03 build off each other. You know, the old 9:05 adage, hitting is contagious. Yeah. When 9:07 Mookie gets going, Freddy gets rocking, 9:10 everybody else wants a little love, too. 9:12 So, yeah, watch out for this squad. I 9:14 I'll be honest with you. I I had them 9:17 winning from from day one. Um, I I just, 9:21 you know, the Brewers team is really 9:23 good, but ultimately this team has 9:25 everything you need and more. So, just 9:29 watch out. Watch for watch the first 9:31 inning and see how Mookie gets going and 9:33 show and everybody else. And the crowd, 9:36 the crowd plays a huge factor in LA. 9:38 >> If you're just going off the regular 9:39 season stats, which we're not for the 9:41 postseason, the Braves uh certainly 9:43 better five and one in terms of 9:45 head-to-head matchups in the regular 9:48 season. All right, guys. Let's get to 9:50 series predictions with Capit presented 9:52 by Lids. 10:04 Todd, we're going to start with you. I 10:06 want to see your series predictions. 10:07 Thank you so much, Lids, for being a 10:09 part of the show. What do you got? 10:11 >> All right, so we're going to first start 10:13 off with Oh, wrong wrong team. Look at 10:16 me already. Excuse me. I gotta find 10:20 them. Look, I got I got my box here. 10:22 Thank you, Liz. I got to move it over a 10:24 little bit. I got my box of goodies. 10:26 Where are my boys here? 10:30 Oh, there they are. Excuse me. This This 10:32 makes for good TV. Here. All right. Get 10:34 out of here. All right. Here we go. 10:38 Boom. Braves. Dodgers. Both beautiful 10:41 hats here. I love every second about 10:43 this. Brave or do my god. Braves coming 10:47 in hot here. They're not afraid to play 10:49 against the big doggies. But guess what? 10:51 I still see the Dodgers coming out on 10:53 top. They have all the pieces that they 10:57 need. Look at me here looking beautiful 10:59 here. If I can fix my hat. 11:01 >> What a good looking guy. Make sure you 11:02 like like put it to the side a little 11:04 bit so Doug Edings can get a, you know, 11:06 a kick out of that. 11:07 >> Oh, too soon, Elana. Too soon. 11:09 >> Okay. Okay. Sorry. Sorry. All right. So, 11:12 you're going with LA over the Braves in 11:14 the NLDS. Todd. Um, all right. That's 11:17 yours. EK, you too are wearing a Dodgers 11:20 hat. I'm assuming that is your 11:21 prediction, sir. 11:22 >> That is my prediction. The black Dodgers 11:24 hat. It's pretty sharp. I I know Alana's 11:27 a big Dodgers fan, but the black Dodgers 11:30 hat is sharp. And it kind of is a little 11:33 overwhelming like the Dodgers team is 11:35 going to be for the Braves. I think the 11:37 Braves team had a good warm-up series 11:40 against the Phillies. I think everybody 11:43 knows that this Dodgers team understands 11:47 what it takes to win. And I think it's 11:49 going to be an uphill battle because of 11:51 one reason for the Braves, a fivegame 11:54 series using your bullpen, using sail 11:57 out of the bullpen because you never 12:00 picked up that starting starting 12:01 rotation piece that you can add to it, 12:04 especially after Martine Perez is down. 12:06 like they're just going to be a little 12:08 short in that department and it's just 12:10 going to be a little too much in a 12:12 fivegame series. I see this going four 12:14 and I see the Dodgers winning in the 12:15 fourth game. 12:16 >> All right, guys. Capit is presented by 12:18 Lids, your home for all postseason 12:20 headwear and apparel needs. Text 12:23 territory, that's t r i t o r y to 12:26 29017. 12:28 It's going to get you 20% off your next 12:30 intore purchase. Message data rates and 12:32 exclusions of course do apply. Our next 12:34 guest is ready. So, let's take a quick 12:36 break and we'll be right back with JP 12:38 Fire Horizon. 12:53 >> Are you worried as this group group gets 12:55 older that it might not happen just 12:58 because, you know, guys get older and 13:00 performance starts to fade at some 13:02 point? 13:03 Uh, I don't know. I can't really answer 13:06 that question. You know, we haven't 13:07 played the games uh for next year or 13:09 anything else. So, each year is so 13:11 different than the year before. So, um, 13:14 I don't really put stock into years 13:16 before what happened or anything else. 13:18 You know, this this was a brand new 13:19 team. Obviously, we had the guys that 13:22 are part of that core group that we are. 13:24 Um, I'd imagine this team is going to 13:26 look a lot different next year with the 13:28 guys that are kind of leaving this 13:29 clubhouse. Um, so we'll see. 13:32 Guys, Ken Rosenthal, who's going to join 13:34 our show uh in a little bit, had an 13:36 article recently in The Athletic that 13:38 said the Phillies need to have everybody 13:40 on the table in terms of trades, 13:42 including Kyle Schwarber and Bryce 13:44 Harper. Uh EK, what do you make of 13:48 Bryce Harper's comments there that this 13:50 team is going to look very differently 13:51 because once again, an early exit for 13:53 the Phillies? 13:55 Uh I mean yeah any team if I count down 13:59 here of names that people know Joseé 14:01 Alvarado Brooksley Edmundo Sosa Adoulles 14:04 Garcia Alec Bow Luis Luis Arise like 14:08 that's a significant Tim Mesa was one of 14:10 the only bullpen pieces outside of Don. 14:13 So yeah like they're going to look 14:16 different. Are they built like 14:18 everybody, you know, everybody on the 14:19 next day after the Phillies lose, 14:21 they're gonna be like, "Oh, burn this 14:23 team down. Get rid of Matting Lee. Get 14:26 rid of Turner. Get rid of Schwarber if 14:29 you can't." Like, that's not what that's 14:31 not what Ken's saying in his article. 14:33 Ken's saying there needs to be some type 14:35 of shift and move. And I think Don 14:38 Browski was this close before the Mets 14:40 panic signed and got Bo Bashette. Where 14:43 does that contract where did that 14:45 contract have fit in? Well, it's not 14:47 there. What does it look like for next 14:49 year? Does Aiden Miller come up? There's 14:50 a lot of stuff that the Phillies can do 14:52 to make this team look a lot different. 14:54 And I don't think it means break it 14:57 down, cut it down, make it, you know, 14:59 they're going to make moves. Maybe Trey 15:01 Turner might play center field. Maybe 15:03 somebody steps in at shortstop. Maybe 15:05 they make a move for that third base 15:07 position. All things that are possible 15:08 for next year. 15:10 >> Yeah. And I I I think that Luis Arise 15:13 injury really hurt them, man. That's a 15:15 staple. That's a dude that doesn't 15:17 strike out a lot. He puts the ball in 15:18 play. He's a menace when it comes to 15:21 hitting. Him getting on base for some of 15:23 the big dogs coming up next there. I 15:25 mean, nothing against Trey Turner, but 15:27 Luis Arise is absolute dynamite when it 15:30 comes to, you know, taking pitches, 15:32 making the pitcher work a little bit, 15:34 fouling pitches off. So, that was a big 15:37 one, but we'll see what they do. I still 15:39 think they should keep everybody. 15:41 >> Yeah, Don Mattingley seems to be on his 15:43 way out as far as the manager concerned 15:45 as well in Philadelphia. We'll be right 15:47 back. 16:00 It is time now to tow the rubber. We are 16:02 always happy to have our co-host of 16:04 Brewer Territory on the show, JP Fire 16:07 Horizon, co-host of Brew Crew Territory, 16:09 uh, with Kurt Hogue and Corey Canable. 16:11 Uh, good to be with you, JP. Thanks for 16:13 being here. Um, I just want, first of 16:15 all, your take on this Brewers club that 16:18 had a record setting, um, amount of wins 16:20 this season. What do you like about this 16:22 about this group of guys? 16:24 >> Uh, this this group of guys is young, 16:26 fiery. They have a obviously a great 16:30 leader in in Yelich and getting that 16:32 that C finally put on his chest and um 16:35 awesome to see for him and but I mean 16:37 the starting staff the the two guys 16:39 right out the gate, Miz and Hendo, I 16:42 mean just unbelievable stuff from them 16:44 this year and the consistency between 16:47 both of them. Um and then this bullpen's 16:49 been great all year. They they've been 16:51 workh horses like every Brewer bullpen 16:53 always has been right um from the 16:56 beginning. um since I played with them 16:58 and and and on this bullpen's been just 17:01 busy the whole entire year, but they 17:03 they've uh held it down. So, I'm excited 17:05 to see them in in postseason baseball 17:07 and uh obviously with the lineup, these 17:10 guys uh they play hard. They play 17:12 unbelievable defense and uh they get 17:15 hits when they need them and and late in 17:17 the game. So, um for postseason 17:19 baseball, this this team's built. I'm 17:22 excited for these games coming up. 17:25 >> All right, JP. Uh, welcome to 2026 17:29 because one, your mustache is back in 17:31 2018 and your take is 2018, 2019, 2020, 17:38 21, 22. It's the same take that we hear 17:41 before game one of every series. So, we 17:46 wouldn't have had you on to regurgitate 17:47 the exact same thing that's said. It's 17:49 just different names like Corbin Burns 17:52 and Brandon Woodruff. So, why is this 17:55 team different, you Wisconsin cheese 17:58 curd? 18:00 >> It's they got flow, Kratzy. This team's 18:02 young. I mean, yeah, your your pitching 18:05 has always been there with Milwaukee, 18:06 but look at this lineup. Look at the 18:08 guys that they've signed already for 18:09 extensions, right? Like, I mean, um, 18:12 Churio in the outfield, Pratt, I mean, 18:15 all these guys that they've already got 18:16 extended out and ready to go. I mean, 18:18 the only guy that we've been calling for 18:20 on Brutary to get an extension is Bryce. 18:22 We we need uh we need BT locked up for 18:25 an extension. But um no, this team is 18:27 just uh I mean, yeah, you can look at 18:30 numbers that they don't they're not home 18:32 run wealthy, right? They don't they 18:34 don't hit a lot of home runs, but they 18:35 they get hits when they need to and they 18:37 get on base and and they just play the 18:39 great brand of baseball that I love to 18:41 watch. Like I mean, the homer game is is 18:44 fun and everything and it's exciting, 18:45 but this team plays some of the best 18:47 defense I I've ever seen. And so, uh, 18:50 that's why I think this team's 18:52 different, Gratzy. That's why I think 18:53 this team's different. 18:55 >> All right, JP. I Everybody knows about 18:57 the Miz. Ain't nobody going to beat The 18:59 Miz. I mean, I hope you remember that. I 19:01 might I'm not I hope you're not that 19:02 old. But anyway, for me, talk a little 19:06 bit about the other pitchers that they 19:09 have. Everybody talks about Jacob 19:10 Mezerowski. Talk about how good they've 19:12 been and the other two or three that's 19:14 going to go for this Milwaukee Brewer 19:16 team because I think they need to get a 19:17 little love, too. 19:19 Yeah, I mean, uh, this entire staff, 19:21 right? Uh, the guys that you're going to 19:23 see game three, game four, not sure how 19:25 they're going to run it, um, starting 19:27 wise because you you never know, um, the 19:30 way after obviously one and two happen, 19:32 um, because it's all hands on deck in 19:34 the playoffs, right? So, uh, but yeah, 19:36 you're talking right here, this lineup 19:38 of starters, uh, Gasser, DM, Droan, 19:41 Harrison. I mean, obviously Harrison's 19:43 been kind of in a rough patch this this 19:45 end of the year, but um Bob Gasser has 19:48 been absolutely throwing the best 19:50 baseball I've seen from him all year. Um 19:52 and then obviously getting DMA being 19:54 he's been in playoff baseball, he knows 19:56 what it's like. Um just that veteran in 19:58 the clubhouse. So, um and then after 20:00 those guys, I mean, uh I mean Chad Chad 20:04 coming out of the pen, Shane coming out 20:05 of the pen, those guys have been dogs 20:07 out of the bullpen. They've been great 20:08 when they've started. So, I mean, and 20:10 yeah, then you go to the bullpen and you 20:12 got you literally can go down the list 20:14 and every one of these guys um is going 20:16 to throw some great innings in this 20:19 playoffs. I mean, obviously with Urebe, 20:21 McGill, um Jojo, uh Ashby, those guys 20:24 are going to be your your main guys in 20:26 the big situations, but um to look for 20:28 an extended innings out of the bullpen, 20:30 I mean, Shane and Chad, I think, are 20:32 going to be your two guys that are going 20:33 to throw, um some two or three inning 20:35 clips and and and see them for a little 20:37 extended time. But yeah, everyone in 20:39 this in this bullpen, I mean, even the 20:41 guys that have been coming up to fill 20:43 innings all season long, um, sprout, 20:45 they they they deserve their flowers for 20:47 this year because, uh, it takes a lot to 20:49 win 103 games and, um, this pitching 20:51 staff's done it all all all year. And, 20:53 um, you know, it's going to be fun to 20:55 watch them here coming up. 20:57 >> JP, every team has holes, every team has 20:59 flaws. What's your biggest concern for 21:01 the Brew Crew in this particular series, 21:03 the matchup with the Padres's? 21:06 Uh I I every team has flaws. This this 21:09 Brewer team, I think, is is going to be 21:11 uh scoring runs. I think um it's kind of 21:14 shown like the Padres's are going to 21:15 swing the bats and and I mean they 21:17 always do, right? These the guys that 21:18 they're going to play are going to get 21:20 up for the moment. You see them in the 21:22 World Baseball Classic. They always play 21:23 better in big situations. The crowd gets 21:25 behind them. Um so I'm hoping our 21:27 hitters are going to do the same. Um 21:29 it's it's going to be tough for them 21:31 against this Padres's bullpen when they 21:32 get later into the game. So, I think 21:34 they need to jump on these starters 21:35 early and and put some runs up so that 21:37 they can put themselves in the winning 21:39 position so they can play the brand of 21:40 baseball they want to. 21:42 >> When you watch this team day in and day 21:44 out, obviously you already hit on it. 21:46 They don't hit home runs. I think they 21:47 hit enough home runs. Cheerio will pop 21:50 one. Y'll get one. Here's my thing. Can 21:53 they play? Have they been able to play 21:56 their game the sense of, you know, 21:58 driving the ball to the opposite field, 22:00 moving runners against the elite of the 22:03 elite pitching? Because, you know, as 22:04 well as anybody in the playoffs, you 22:06 ain't facing number three, four, five in 22:09 a rotation. You're not facing number 22:11 five, six, seven in the bullpen. Are 22:14 they able to play their game against the 22:16 best of the best, which means stringing 22:18 together two or three hits? 22:22 Yeah, I mean that's that's a great 22:23 question, but I think uh if you look at 22:25 numbers against this team, against some 22:27 of the best uh uh starters this year, I 22:29 mean I I think that they've they've been 22:31 able to score runs against them 22:32 consistently. I I mean, I know it hasn't 22:34 been backto backtoback days like they're 22:36 going to get with some of these teams 22:37 and and their starting staffs, but um 22:40 no, this team is uh built to to get guys 22:42 on base and and and create havoc. I 22:45 mean, that's what they do. They they 22:46 bunt for singles. They they hit and run. 22:49 They they play the game and they they do 22:50 string hits together and walks. I mean, 22:52 they have great plate discipline. That's 22:54 that's the one thing about this team is 22:56 they don't they don't chase a lot. 22:57 They're not out of the zone. And the 22:58 guys that do, they have a little pop. 23:00 So, I'm a you know, that's the that's 23:02 the thing, right? If you have a little 23:03 pop, you can chase a little bit more. 23:04 So, um but this team uh this team puts 23:07 good ABS together consistently. So, I 23:09 think they're I think they're built for 23:10 this playoffs. They're they're uh in a 23:12 great spot. They've been playing great 23:14 baseball. Um I mean, that last series 23:16 against St. Lewis, they could have let 23:18 one slip there and they just kept 23:20 rolling. So, I'm excited to see 23:21 hopefully they stay hot for this 23:23 playoffs. 23:24 >> Okay, again, Miseroski, the staff, 23:28 everybody on this team has done well. 23:30 Cheerio, give me a name that's going to 23:32 come up absolutely monstrous in one of 23:35 these games where they had no business 23:36 winning and this is the guy that either 23:38 kickstarts it or is it just gets 23:40 absolutely hot where you're like, man, 23:43 this is what we either we've been 23:44 waiting for all year or this is that 23:45 dude that we've been talking about who's 23:47 going to come up in a big situation and 23:49 make it happen. 23:50 >> I said this on on Brewer Terry, too, and 23:52 I'm I'm hoping that he does it as Cooper 23:55 Pratt. Uh he's going to be in the in the 23:57 spotlight, right? He's going to be 23:59 shortstop. um playing he's got to play 24:01 big defense, but um he's a he's not 24:04 going to hit your big home or anything 24:05 like that, but I think he's going to 24:06 come up in some abs with guys on base 24:08 and and get that big hit or get that big 24:10 walk or that big AB that's you know just 24:12 springs this team and and just lights 24:14 him on fire for this for this series and 24:17 the playoffs to to keep going. 24:19 >> JP Christian Yelich named captain uh for 24:22 the first time ever uh for the Brewers 24:23 as far as a franchise is concerned. What 24:25 makes Yelli captain material? 24:28 Uh, I mean, just the guy is I mean, 24:30 Kratzy's played with him, I think. Um, 24:32 everybody knows him around the league. 24:34 >> He's played with everybody, JP. He's 24:35 played for 24:36 >> That's true. That's true. You're right. 24:38 Kratz has played with everybody. That's 24:39 true. Um, but no, I mean, the type of 24:42 guy he is, um, the the person he is in 24:44 the clubhouse, uh, just the way, you 24:47 know, he's put it on the field. Yeah, 24:49 his this year hasn't been like his best 24:51 year, but, um, he's just the Mr. 24:53 consistency. And you know, when you 24:56 think of Brewer baseball in the past, 24:58 you know, however many years, uh, seven, 25:00 eight years, I don't even know how long 25:02 he's been with them. Even longer than 25:04 that, actually, probably. But, um, he's 25:07 just, yeah, he's that guy that, uh, you 25:10 just it's it's awesome to see him get to 25:12 see because he deserves it. Um, and I 25:14 don't think uh I mean he's he's going to 25:16 have his number hanging in a banner, but 25:18 people said, and I've heard this already 25:20 around Wisconsin, if uh the Brewers win 25:22 a World Series and Yelli does something 25:24 special, we got to build a statue. 25:25 That's what that's all what Brewer fans 25:27 are saying in Wisconsin right now. And 25:28 I'm like, you know what? If he gets hot 25:30 and does something, put him right next 25:32 to Uke because uh those two are good 25:34 buddies at the end of Uker's life. So, 25:36 uh it would be pretty cool. 25:40 He's definitely a historic figure in 25:42 this organization and 2018 was his first 25:45 year. So, he's been here that whole run. 25:48 My question to you, this may get some of 25:51 our Brewer fans to cancel their love for 25:54 me. 25:55 Is Murf is Pat Murphy okay pinch hitting 25:59 for Christian Yelich in a spot if 26:01 Yelli's comes out in the playoffs and 26:03 isn't his what the lore of a 26:08 statuebearing player is because if you 26:10 look at his postseason numbers they 26:14 haven't been that great. Is Murf okay 26:16 with that? Because we saw during the 26:17 season 26:19 didn't play in all the matchups. He 26:21 wasn't a 162 guy. Is he willing to do 26:23 that during the postseason? 26:25 >> Uh, I think I think Murf's the guy that 26:28 you want managing this team if if 26:30 someone's got to take the bat out of 26:31 Yelli's hand in a big situation. I think 26:33 that uh um Yelli and and him have a 26:36 great understanding with each other. Uh 26:38 obviously the two of them as as leaders 26:40 of this team and uh yeah, no, I think 26:42 Murf's going to have no problem if if 26:44 Yelich isn't in the lineup every day. I 26:46 think uh Yelli's gonna know that uh you 26:48 know, Murf Murf made it for a right 26:50 reason. and maybe it'll be uh the next 26:52 time, you know, maybe maybe Mur say 26:54 we'll put the bat in your hand next 26:55 time. So, I I don't think there's going 26:57 to be any issue with these two uh with 26:59 that going forward. I think that Yelli 27:01 is going to do whatever it takes to win 27:02 for this team. 27:05 >> I want to I want to talk about this 27:07 Dodger team, too. I know I'm looking 27:09 ahead here a little bit, but is there is 27:12 there any thought right now, you know, 27:14 could be Dodgers, Milwaukee, like 27:16 there's a big opportunity for this 27:18 Brewers team? like can you talk a little 27:20 bit about maybe what to look forward to 27:23 if they happen to win cuz this team is 27:25 both these teams are the teams that are 27:27 a favorite pretty much to move on. 27:30 >> Yeah, I mean it's the Dodgers, right? 27:32 They they've got everybody. They have 27:34 their lineup stacked. They have their 27:35 starting staff stacked. They got their 27:36 bullpen stacked. They're ready ready for 27:39 the playoffs. That's what this team 27:40 does. they play, you know, 162 games of, 27:44 you know, like 40% of their team and 27:46 then once playoff come around, they, you 27:48 know, get up to 80 to 100% depending on 27:50 who's healthy and actually has season 27:52 ending injuries. So, uh, looking forward 27:54 to that. Yeah, we've been talking about 27:56 it all year, facing them again, hoping 27:58 it's obviously, uh, to go to the World 28:00 Series and, uh, I mean, yeah, it's it's 28:04 tough. a sevengame series against a team 28:06 that's built uh literally to win 28:09 postseason baseball. Um but if there's 28:12 any team that's going to do it, I think 28:13 the Brewers have played the Dodgers 28:14 really well in in the regular season. I 28:16 know it's not their full team, but I 28:19 mean with Miz and Hendo, I think that's 28:22 win one, win two, and then you go from 28:24 there. And then you go when those guys 28:26 come back around, you win two more, and 28:28 that's all you need in a seven game 28:29 series is four. So, I'm uh for for as 28:32 starting wise, I think I'm not afraid of 28:34 them with with this team that the 28:35 Brewers have put forward. These guys uh 28:37 they're they're built for this moment. 28:38 They they like uh they like the big 28:40 situation. They've seen them in the 28:41 past. They know what they're up against. 28:43 And I don't think uh Murf said it 28:45 before. I don't think anyone's uh 28:47 calling this team underdogs when it 28:48 comes to that series. I think it's a an 28:50 even match. And and yeah, maybe the 28:52 money on one side is a lot greater than 28:54 the other, but this Brewer team's won 28:56 103 games this year and they played 28:58 great baseball. So, I'm I'm hoping that 29:00 we get to that series because it's it's 29:02 going to be David verse Goliath, but I I 29:05 think David's got just as big a swing as 29:07 as Goliath does. 29:09 >> All right. So, I I have to preface this 29:12 before I ask my question. You grew up in 29:15 Wisconsin. You live in Wisconsin. You 29:16 ended up playing for the Brewers. Your 29:18 first shot in the big leagues was with 29:20 the Brewers, and then you went over to 29:23 the Dodgers. What is the difference in 29:26 both of those organizations? 29:30 Clearly both. There's no doubt in my 29:32 mind playing for the Brewers and 29:35 watching the Dodgers that they both want 29:37 to play in the playoffs and win a World 29:39 Series every year. But what how do you 29:40 see them do each of them differently, 29:44 good or bad? 29:46 >> Yeah, I mean I think that the Brewers 29:48 have to obviously develop guys, right? 29:50 They got to they got to get their guys 29:52 from trades. um they have to win trades 29:54 to get certain guys and um they have to 29:56 make good draft picks and and maybe sign 29:58 the right pieces with a little bit less 30:00 money free agent wise where as LA if if 30:03 they uh want somebody they pretty much 30:05 go and get them. Um but as far as it 30:08 works though like in the in the 30:10 clubhouse and through the spring 30:12 training process and everything goes 30:14 about their business very similar. Um as 30:17 far as uh it's it's this is a job and 30:19 and we're on a mission. um literally 30:22 World Series or bust and that's the 30:24 thought for both these teams I think um 30:26 especially these past couple years right 30:29 I mean both these teams have been two of 30:31 the best teams in baseball obviously the 30:33 Dodgers being back-to-back World Series 30:35 champions but um with the Brewers being 30:38 so consistent winning the NL Central for 30:40 four straight years now um it's I mean 30:42 they're both the dominant the cream of 30:44 the crop and um the way they go about 30:46 their business is is this is work and 30:48 this is a job and we're here to to 30:50 complete the mission. So, um that's they 30:53 both work that way and they both they 30:55 both treat their players phenomenally, 30:56 too. That's another good thing is you 30:59 just um when you're in their or you feel 31:01 you feel like you matter and and you 31:02 feel like you're a part of everything. 31:04 So, um no, great organizations and 31:06 that's why they expect to be there, 31:07 right? That's the um they built for this 31:10 and and whether they've gotten there 31:11 with money or or building from the 31:14 ground up, um they're they're both there 31:16 and they're going to be there for quite 31:17 some time, I think. JP, last one for me. 31:20 Did you see Shawn Burke's comments about 31:23 he doesn't have family, a girlfriend, 31:25 all he does is baseball? Did you see 31:26 those comments? 31:28 >> I did see those comments. 31:29 >> Okay. And so my question to you then is, 31:33 does Jana know that you're coming on 31:35 fair foul territory and she gets to see 31:38 her number one and number two favorite 31:42 professional baseball players of all 31:44 time on the same screen? Does Jana know? 31:46 And if she does know or she's watching 31:48 this later, Jana, good to see you. 31:52 >> It's great because when she comes on 31:54 brewer territory or comments live, uh 31:57 Corey Canal's daughters you knew her as 31:59 Jana Banana. So, uh uh as soon as she 32:02 came on and commented, Corey goes, "Jana 32:04 Banana." And and so no, she she loves 32:07 it. That that'll make her smile and 32:09 that'll make her really happy. Granty, 32:10 so appreciate that. 32:12 >> Oh, that's awesome. All right. Wisconsin 32:14 guy. I lived in Madison for three years. 32:16 So if you're going to Do County or the 32:17 Dells or whatever, are you doing fried 32:20 Twinkie, fried Snickers, or cheese 32:21 curds? 32:23 >> Oh, cheese curds. Come on. That's not 32:25 even close. This is the land of cheese. 32:28 >> Everything in Door County. They fry 32:30 everything in the 32:31 >> Del. Every Yeah, you can you can 32:33 literally go to any fair in Wisconsin 32:35 and whatever you think you're going to 32:36 get fried, it it'll be there. So, no, 32:38 that's that is a Wisconsin classic for 32:41 sure. All right, JP Fire Eyes, we 32:43 appreciate you very much. Good luck to 32:44 your Brew crew, the rest of this 32:46 postseason run. And guys, don't forget 32:48 you can watch JP and the rest of the 32:50 Brewer territory crew on YouTube, 32:53 wherever you get your pods. Coming up 32:55 next, we dive into the White Socks, the 32:58 Guardians. It's an a central matchup. 33:00 Stay with us. 33:15 All right, guys. So far this postseason, 33:17 this from Sarah Langs, the great Sarah 33:18 Langs on X. Teams to score first, they 33:21 are 8-1. That makes sense. Teams to out 33:23 homer opponents are six and one. 49.3% 33:26 of runs have been scored via the long 33:28 ball. So almost half of the runs coming 33:30 via the home run. Not surprising there 33:33 as well. Um, what do you make of that? 33:35 Does that seem pretty pretty standard to 33:37 you, Todd? 33:39 >> Yeah, I guess so. I mean, 33:42 there's a lot shoot Scott's the best 33:44 stats ever out there. Um, yeah, there's 33:47 been a a home run. I've heard a lot 33:49 about that. The home run guys that hit 33:50 more home runs usually are the ones that 33:53 win the games. Um, the scoring first, 33:56 that that's unique to me. eight and one 33:59 scoring first. Usually there's maybe a 34:01 hiccup, but it seems like the teams that 34:02 do score first score in bunches, so it 34:04 makes it hard for them to come back, but 34:06 um yeah, 50/50 on the home runs. That 34:09 that that that's a big one right there. 34:11 So the long ball is in play. So Brewers 34:15 long ball time. Let's go. Show me 34:16 something. 34:18 >> Or just give up less homers. 34:21 >> Like you don't have to hit so many if 34:22 you don't give too many up. And this is 34:25 this is straight into as much as we 34:27 talked about Wilson Contrarus's comments 34:29 about too much analytics. 34:31 These numbers I I bet it's not not just 34:34 this postseason. I love that it's up 34:35 here right now. But teams will score 34:38 first. Well, why is that? Because the 34:39 best hitters are hitting at the top of 34:41 the order. So, most likely that's what's 34:43 going to happen. So, what do teams do? I 34:45 don't know. This guy's not the best 34:47 matchup. We're going to go with the dude 34:48 that throws fuel and usually throws the 34:51 seventh eighth inning for us. So that's 34:53 where the opener comes from. Everybody's 34:55 got to swing for the fences. That's 34:57 where this home run stats come from. 34:59 That's what's going to be the most 35:01 interesting one thing to watch in this 35:03 entire postseason. 35:05 How do the Brewers 35:08 have success when these are the numbers 35:10 that we see? 35:14 >> Yeah. I don't know. I I think I mean how 35:17 much of it in the postseason though 35:19 comes out to fundamental baseball 35:21 catching the ball defending the ball you 35:24 know more than more than the offense. I 35:26 mean all things being equal you have to 35:28 play the game in the field the right 35:29 way. No. 35:30 >> Yeah. And I not to jump over you cry. I 35:33 mean look at what Spencer Jones did on 35:35 on a miss strike three. 35:37 >> Absolutely kick started that inning. He 35:39 beat the ball to first. Wilson Contrus 35:41 didn't he wasn't in the right position 35:43 to catch the ball. His foot was probably 35:44 even off the bag, but that kickstarted 35:47 everything. A stolen base, throw over to 35:49 center field, runner on third, base hit 35:51 by George Lumbar Jr. So any little 35:53 mistakes going to get blown up. Who's 35:55 going to make a less of them? 36:16 with Tap It presented by Lids. Earlier 36:20 we did a couple of different things with 36:22 the National League. Let's talk about 36:23 the White Socks versus the Guardians. 36:26 So, uh Todd, since you have your lids 36:30 with you, we'll let you go first. White 36:32 Socks Guardians. Who do you predict? 36:34 >> Well, first, look at these cool hats. I 36:36 think they're absolutely dynamite. 36:38 >> I know. They really are. This This is a 36:42 tough one. This is a really tough one. 36:44 Kratzy knows I love riding the wave. I 36:46 love riding the team that's been 36:48 playing. The Guardians haven't played a 36:50 lot. You can even say that about the 36:52 Dodgers, but the Dodgers have some some 36:54 dogs on that squad. I am going to go 36:58 with the White Socks, bro. I think 37:00 they're going to find a way to do it. I 37:02 think I love everything about this team 37:05 and I just they're just playing for each 37:08 other. They're not a They don't care who 37:09 does it. They just want to play for each 37:11 other. And I want to see them pop those 37:13 champagne bottles, too. I think it's 37:15 going to be the White Socks finding a 37:17 way in five to get by the Guardians. And 37:21 I think they're going to do it in in 37:23 Cleveland. I think they will. 37:25 >> I love I love I love your confidence. 37:28 And I'll be honest, for every reason 37:30 that you said, I want the White Socks to 37:32 win, too. 37:33 >> Like, I enjoy watching this team. I 37:36 don't think this team has any superstar 37:38 on it. 37:39 >> No. 37:39 >> So, I enjoy watching them, but if we can 37:43 go to the two box, I want I want just me 37:46 and Todd. I want Todd to hold up the hat 37:49 of who I truly think is going to win 37:51 this series. And I think will give the 37:54 Yankees a tough run at the end. So, I 37:56 need you to hold up that Guardians hat 37:58 for me. 37:59 >> I lost it. Sorry. 38:01 >> Uh, well, just hold it up. You don't 38:03 have to put it on. 38:03 >> I know. I'm kidding. Yeah. actually put 38:05 it on for you. 38:06 >> Make it cover make it cover your face 38:08 because that's definitely better for for 38:11 our sponsor. Like one that hat is sick 38:14 that C is so tough. But I honestly 38:17 wavered a little bit on this pick. I had 38:20 the Guardians beating the White Socks. I 38:21 was like, well, this is it. And then I 38:23 saw Parker Messik is starting game one. 38:26 Nothing against Parker Messik. I I have 38:29 >> like I think he is a tremendous pitcher. 38:33 I don't think he is Gavin Williams. Does 38:36 that mean he can't win? No, that doesn't 38:38 mean that. I just thought Gavin Williams 38:40 was going to throw game one and it 38:43 confused me a little bit and it kind of 38:46 I just don't want to see the Guardians 38:48 go, well, we'd love to be able to have 38:49 him game two and game five or game one 38:52 of the next series because never look 38:54 ahead. So, I can't wait to find out why 38:58 Parker Messik's throwing game one. Not 39:00 saying he's not a dog, not saying he 39:02 hasn't had an incredible year, but to 39:05 me, Gavin Williams has been that dude 39:07 that's had double digit strikeouts and 39:09 can really shut a lineup down, even a 39:12 good lineup that's hot like the White 39:14 Socks. 39:14 >> All right, so let's talk about that. Uh, 39:17 no better to hear than uh from Stephen 39:19 Vote about the starting pitchers. Um, 39:21 what he had to say going into this 39:22 series. Let's take a listen. Given you 39:24 don't need five, six starters for this 39:27 series, is it safe to say there could be 39:30 some pitchers in new roles, I guess, and 39:32 how do you approach that with 39:34 >> Yeah, I mean, I think, you know, 39:34 obviously we're talking through all of 39:36 these different things right now. And 39:37 um, you know, we're going to communicate 39:39 with the players all along the way. Uh, 39:41 but yeah, it's playoff time. Guys are 39:44 asked to do things differently at times 39:46 that maybe you wouldn't do with 162 39:48 games. It's a now it's a five game and 39:50 sevenday sprint. and uh you know so 39:53 we're going to be doing things maybe a 39:54 little bit differently in some areas but 39:56 not a whole lot 39:58 >> with as a rookie. What what convinced 40:01 you to go with Messi in game one? 40:03 >> How consistent he's been all year? Um I 40:06 mean really he you know he's he's taken 40:08 the ball every time and given us a 40:10 chance to win and um just the way he 40:12 pitches um it it just felt right to go 40:15 with Parker. 40:17 >> So there you have it. Uh I mean 40:18 postseason's a completely different 40:19 animal. We're going to see how he uh 40:21 responds to it. I think the reason Katy 40:23 though that you were saying that you 40:24 really kind of waffled in between who 40:26 was going to win this series is because 40:27 these two clubs are really quite 40:30 similar. I mean Chicago held at least 40:32 share of first place for 96 days. Then 40:34 Cleveland had it for 89 days. I mean the 40:37 Guardians assumed first place by winning 40:38 a three-game series over the White Sox. 40:41 Chicago won the head-to-head series 7 40:42 to6 while outscoring the Guardians by 40:45 one run. I mean they're so very similar. 40:48 How much more difficult does the fact 40:50 that there's so much parody between 40:51 these two teams make it when you make 40:53 that type of decision? 40:55 >> I don't feel like there's a lot of 40:56 parody. I think the stats tell me 40:58 there's a lot of parody. 40:59 >> I think they are going to I think they 41:01 are going to either team whoever wins 41:03 this series 41:04 >> is going to do it in completely 41:06 different ways. If if these become like 41:08 okay five to six ball games I think it 41:12 becomes the White Sox game. I think if 41:14 they're 3-2 games, 2-1 games, I think 41:18 they're the Guardians games. I think if 41:20 the I think if the starters don't go 41:24 very long, I think it becomes the White 41:27 Sox series. I think if the starters can 41:29 get the Guardians, especially five, six, 41:33 seven innings, then it becomes a 41:35 Guardian possible sweep here. So, I 41:38 don't think they're the same. I think 41:39 the Guardians lineup doesn't have the 41:42 ability to be as deep. They have some 41:44 guys that can do some damage, especially 41:46 with Josie starting to get a little bit 41:48 better, but I think the starting 41:50 rotation is a massive massive advantage 41:54 for the Guardians. So, I think they've 41:57 while their numbers have been the same, 41:58 I think they they are apples and 42:00 oranges. 42:02 >> 11 get Oh, go ahead. Go ahead, my man. 42:05 Go ahead. 42:05 >> I'm I'm just looking at some of these 42:07 stats. 11 games were decided by three 42:09 runs or less. Seven games decided by one 42:12 run. Four walk-offs. 42:14 >> Mhm. 42:14 >> This is why this one intrigues me so 42:16 much. I You take everything away from 42:20 both of them. They all they play the 42:22 game hard and they know each other and I 42:25 think that's what's going to decide 42:28 everything. I mean, you talk about 42:29 Steven Boat like what he's going through 42:31 like he's going with his gut on this guy 42:33 or this guy's been playing better. 42:35 Decisions matter. coaching matters. So, 42:40 I do you go with what has always been 42:42 going on between the two, thinking that 42:44 you're still gonna find a way to win? 42:46 Yes and no. Because it doesn't matter 42:49 because one of these guys that wasn't 42:51 doing well against you one time is all 42:52 of a sudden getting hot and that changes 42:54 the whole scenario for you, how you 42:56 pitch to people. So, the game within the 42:58 game, it's going to come down to 43:00 coaching is going to play a big part. 43:02 when to take guys in and out and we've 43:05 seen it already with the Red Sox, you 43:07 know, and Tuli, I thought he got taken 43:09 out way too early. So, we'll see what 43:12 kind of decisions both these guys are 43:14 going to make. And, you know, we talk 43:15 about one one little problem that 43:17 happens during the game on the field. 43:19 Well, in the dugout, too, as well. They 43:21 got to make some big big time decisions. 43:23 >> As we were talking here, I'm like, "Oh, 43:25 Eric, you're such an idiot." I know why 43:28 they're starting Parker Messi. Do you 43:30 know what the route for the American 43:32 League wild card is? It's game Saturday, 43:36 off day, Sunday, game game two, off day. 43:41 And what do the Guardians do really 43:42 well? They have a great bullpen. So, 43:44 while Steven Vog said, "Well, he's been 43:46 more consistent here, blah blah blah." 43:49 My mind goes, "Oh, is Gavin Williams is 43:51 he gonna be dealing with something?" No, 43:53 they want to get three, possibly five 43:56 innings out of Parker Messi and then go 43:58 to Gatis, Holderman, 44:02 um, Cade Smith, all out of their bullpen 44:05 and then all them boys get the night off 44:09 and then they're back again and Gavin 44:11 Williams gets to throw and you know 44:13 what? If he gets in a little bit of a 44:15 jam, bada bing, the boys are back out of 44:18 the bullpen again. So, in my mind, if I 44:21 gave Steven vote truth serum, oh, and I 44:25 forgot about Sabrki. Jeez. I mean, these 44:27 dudes, these dudes have been just just 44:30 impossible to hit out of that bullpen. 44:32 So, Truth Serum, Steven vote. Actually, 44:35 I'm going to text him. Is that why you 44:38 did it? And he would say, you'll never 44:39 know. 44:41 >> Isn't that the key though, Todd? Getting 44:43 to uh Cade Smith. I mean, this guy, this 44:45 guy's been just absolute money all 44:47 season long. a 195 RA 69 appearances and 44:50 tied for the major league lead in saves 44:52 with 41. I mean, we were wondering what 44:54 they were going to do uh as far as the 44:56 bullpen was concerned the back end of 44:58 it. Well, there's the answer. 44:59 >> Yeah. And I I I think it comes down to 45:01 the second time around. Uh once you get 45:04 back to the top of the order, let's see 45:06 how they do through the first that first 45:07 inning is going to play large and that 45:10 third maybe fourth inning. That's where 45:12 the deciding factor is going to come 45:13 along. Are you going to take a chance uh 45:16 with two outs and you're like, "Oh man, 45:17 no. Don't worry, we'll see if somebody 45:18 gets on. Boom. Double. Now you're like, 45:21 uh, well, that's why we don't manage, 45:23 Krat. That's why you manage high school 45:24 right now, and I'm sitting here managing 45:26 young kids. So, that's the hardest part. 45:28 But Cade Smith is an absolute beast. You 45:31 feel real comfortable whenever he's on 45:32 the mound. Uh, Hunter Gatis, I mean, 45:35 there's there's some goons on that 45:36 squad. So, it just seems like 45:38 everybody's bullpen gets better and 45:40 better as a year goes on. And if they're 45:42 healthy enough, how do they win these 45:44 ball games? by holding runners in 45:47 scoring position and not letting them 45:48 score. 45:49 >> All right, battle of the bullpens. It 45:51 usually comes down to that in the 45:52 postseason, gentlemen. Thanks, Lids, for 45:54 being a part of it. All 46:40 right, guys. Tuesday's game one between 46:42 the Boston Red Sox and the New York 46:44 Yankees averaged 7.3 million viewers 46:47 across NBC and Peacock, making it the 46:50 most watched game one of any Major 46:53 League Baseball playoff series in the 46:55 wild card or division round since 2006. 46:59 That's pretty impressive. Todd, is it is 47:00 it because it was the two teams? um you 47:03 know just that longtime rivalry in your 47:05 opinion or just I mean just the the 47:07 popularity of the game that we love so 47:09 much in general. 47:11 >> Yeah, I I think it's a little bit of 47:12 both. Crat is funny. I I think I think 47:15 it has to deal with who is playing for 47:17 sure. Uh two big uh marketable cities. I 47:20 think um the Cam Schlitler talk uh with 47:23 him and uh the back and forth battle 47:26 between, you know, the people in the New 47:29 England area letting them know that he 47:31 doesn't care. I mean, Sunny Gray letting 47:33 people know that he didn't like playing 47:34 in New York. Um, it made for some good 47:37 good little uh I guess comedic value uh 47:41 towards the games, but you know, 47:43 anything that deals with Yankees, it 47:45 seems to be go a little bigger. LA, 47:47 those you know, there's some big 47:48 marketable cities. So, um Boston Yankee 47:51 rivalry up here in the East Coast goes 47:54 long ways. And there's a lot of people 47:55 that used to live in the east coast that 47:57 live down south or going to warmer 47:59 weather that are definitely still going 48:01 to be watching these games. So it it's 48:02 all over it's all over the world for 48:04 sure. So I think a little bit of both. 48:07 But you know I think the Cam Schlitler 48:09 thing plays plays big part in that too. 48:13 >> A little drama. A little drama for your 48:15 mama. Is that what you're saying? Like 48:17 no look the game is broken. 48:20 >> We need to have a cap because the game 48:22 is broken. It's never been more bor. 48:28 It's the largest 48:30 viewership in 20 years. Like 48:33 >> crazy. 48:33 >> Let's continue this on. Let's keep it 48:35 going. I don't care if it was Red Sox 48:36 Yankees. 48:38 >> It's not even like like that doesn't 48:39 that doesn't matter. People wanted to 48:41 tune in because the game is at such a 48:43 great place and it's a great product to 48:45 watch right now. 48:47 >> Yeah. Viewership uh from that game, 48:49 guys, increased by 12% yearover-year. 48:51 Remember, these two teams were in the 48:53 wild card uh opening round last year 48:55 against one another. Yankees did the 48:56 exact same thing to the Boston Red Sox. 48:59 So, 12% increase last year. Let's move 49:02 on. We'll be right back. 49:17 Always 49:26 a pleasure to have Pete Fairbanks on the 49:29 show with us, Miami Marlins relief 49:31 pitcher over the course of this 2026 49:33 season. Good to be with you, Pete. Thank 49:35 you again. Uh before we get into the 49:37 nitty-gritty about this 2026 postseason 49:40 uh outlook, um it was reported that you 49:44 were supposed to have surgery uh 49:46 thoracic outlet syndrome. Um they 49:48 announced that in middle of September. 49:50 Where are you at with that? Have you had 49:52 the surgery yet? How are you doing? 49:54 >> Uh no, I'm having it next week. uh get 49:56 that nice first rib resection and uh 50:00 yeah, get to enjoy a little uh get to 50:02 enjoy telling two kids that uh just be a 50:06 little more careful since careful is not 50:07 always in their uh vocabulary. 50:10 >> You you going to keep the rib? 50:12 >> Zach Wheeler kept the rib. Are you going 50:13 to keep the rib? 50:15 >> Um 50:17 yeah. Yeah. Well, we'll find a use for 50:19 it. I don't know exactly what, but it'll 50:21 be around the house somewhere. 50:23 >> Hang it around your neck. It'll kind of 50:25 give that little like put a little edge 50:27 like whoa that's a dude that's got like 50:29 one of his own bones hanging from his 50:31 neck. 50:32 >> Yeah. I don't know if I want my edge to 50:34 be serial killer. I don't know if that's 50:36 >> Halloween. Hey, it's Halloween coming 50:38 up. Pete, you're good. You got a whole 50:40 You could do it for the whole month and 50:41 then 50:42 >> we'll put it we'll put it Hey, my 50:43 neighborhood's big on They're big on 50:44 Halloween decorations. Maybe we'll uh 50:46 maybe we'll get a little human bone out 50:48 there to uh you know, scare scare some 50:50 kids. 50:51 >> All right, let me let me ask you this. 50:53 We're big Halloween guys out here, too. 50:55 Well, I should say we. I say my wife. 50:57 She's a lunatic, actually. When it comes 50:59 to this, I crafting vouch. We got these 51:02 20, 30 foot scary things we put out 51:04 there. I'm out there. I'm in my hands 51:06 and knees. I'm soaking wet trying to 51:08 hold this thing. It It's just out of 51:10 control. Are you a lunatic like my my 51:14 wife is when it comes to putting doing 51:16 the holidays? Because I I know this 51:18 weekend is going to be absolute hell for 51:19 me putting all this up. You know, this 51:22 is a great this is a great set. I just 51:24 spent the past three hours putting all 51:26 of our Christmas decorations into a 51:28 storage unit uh and retrieving some 51:30 Halloween decorations while I was there. 51:32 We're not uh I wouldn't say that she's, 51:35 >> you know, too crazy, especially compared 51:36 to our neighborhood uh goes goes pretty 51:39 hard. Snides had a giant state puff 51:41 marshmallow man at his house a couple 51:42 years ago. 51:43 >> Yeah. 51:43 >> Um so, I mean, there's there's 51:45 definitely some people that go a little 51:46 harder than we do. You know, we'll have 51:48 we'll have some spooky decorations up 51:50 for sure. 51:51 Are you a Are you a full-size candy bar 51:54 guy or what do you hand out? 51:56 >> Come on. Um, so we where our house is is 52:01 like on the edge. So, we'll just throw 52:02 the big bowl of candy out and it's gone 52:05 by the time uh you know we get back. 52:09 Once my kids can trick-or- treat on 52:10 their own, then yes, I will be sitting 52:13 there full-size candy bars 52:16 Bill Burr style trying to knock the 52:18 trying to knock the pumpkin over with 52:19 such force. 52:21 Okay. Okay. Keeping keeping your arm 52:23 keeping your arm loose. Hucking some 52:25 fullsize candy bar. I got that. 52:28 >> Going through some Going through some 52:29 rehab, but just just working the working 52:31 the shoulder through with a little 52:32 fullsize, you know, Milky Way action. 52:35 >> I got that. I got that. Rarely have I 52:37 ever played or heard of anybody that has 52:41 thoracic outlet that's like, "Yep, just 52:43 popped up one day." Most of the guys 52:46 grind through it. What other what other 52:51 avenues did you pursue to try to get 52:53 this pain or like explain what it is 52:57 that you were feeling and how long 52:59 because I think you went on IIL three 53:01 times this year and was it all kind of 53:03 related to this eventually leading up to 53:05 this in the offseason? Yeah. I mean, I'd 53:07 say 53:09 over the last what, fourish years, three 53:12 three plus years, basically every time 53:14 I've had any sort of I stent except for 53:16 when I pulled my lat, it was it's been 53:19 nerve- related. Um, and yeah, I mean, 53:22 it's the easiest thing is like it's it's 53:25 like it's half asleep would be the best 53:27 way to describe it. Um, just kind of 53:29 running down at alter alternating spots 53:32 just kind of at random. Uh, I didn't 53:34 realize it was as bad as it was. um 53:36 until I went and saw Pearl and he's 53:38 pushing on either side of my chest and 53:40 like the sensations are are 53:42 significantly were significantly down on 53:43 my right side compared to my left and 53:46 that's when I was like I think this 53:47 might be a bit more of a problem than I 53:49 thought it was. 53:51 >> Okay, I got two questions. So my last 53:53 last Halloween question, have you 53:55 decided what you're going to be yet this 53:56 year? 53:58 >> Um as of now 54:01 um we are planning on being team rocket. 54:05 My wife will be Jesse. I'll be James. Uh 54:08 my son wants to be Wobbuffa Fett. Don't 54:10 know where I'm going to find a Wobbuff 54:12 Fett costume. 54:13 >> Um and then we're in the process of 54:16 convincing our daughter Lahi to be 54:18 Meowth. And that's not going very well. 54:21 So that's that's the thought. We'll see 54:22 if it comes to fruition or not. 54:24 >> Okay. All right. Okay. So, hey, it's 54:26 hard. So, as you have more kids, you got 54:29 to start fitting. 54:30 >> Yeah. You got to you got to start 54:31 negotiating with multiple parties. It's 54:33 just makes it that much harder. 54:35 >> I I want to talk about Tampa Bay Yankees 54:39 real quick. I want you to to explain to 54:41 me how good Drew Rasmmanson is and just 54:44 explain to me give me like, you know, if 54:47 you were on the other side, like what 54:48 are you expecting from this dude? 54:49 Because what he's what he has done, man, 54:51 he go quietly I feel like quietly he's 54:54 just been doing it 54:56 >> for a long time. Look, Rass is as 54:59 consistent as they come. um the ability 55:03 to really command three different shapes 55:05 to both sides of the plate. Um and 55:08 obviously, you know, that's one thing 55:09 and then you're doing it with plus+ 55:11 stuff as well. Um look, I expect Raz to 55:16 look like Ras because I I think the 55:20 starts where Ras hasn't looked like 55:21 himself are you probably count them on 55:24 one hand, I would say. Um, and the and 55:27 the ones in which you go out there and 55:30 RAS has thrown seven, given up two or 55:34 fewer and punched out more than one an 55:36 inning and you're like, "Yeah, that's 55:38 just a normal uh it's just a normal 55:39 occurrence when that guy takes the 55:41 mound." So, yeah, I'm excited to see him 55:43 throw the ball. We're going to we're 55:44 going to go check that one out tomorrow 55:46 night. Um, you know, it's always nice to 55:48 be able to go watch your friends play 55:49 without uh any of the uh pressure 55:52 associated with it. 55:54 >> Wait, wait. So, did you call them? Did 55:58 Westy hook you up with tickets? Did you 56:00 buy them on Seeiki? 56:04 >> Uh, no. No, no. I If I I'm got a I got a 56:07 third party, 56:09 not a present, a former Ray, not a 56:11 present Ray, but I got my I got my guy. 56:14 Got got four tickets through my guy. 56:16 We'll be there. I'mma walk down to that 56:18 visiting bullpen and be chirping yards 56:21 with the best of them. 56:22 Are you are you in the are you a close 56:25 to the field kind of sitter or do you 56:27 sit far back? Do you like the upper deck 56:29 because it's never open in St. Pete. So 56:32 there's that. 56:33 >> Hey, you will not catch me in that upper 56:36 deck. Just I mean I know that they just 56:38 redid the trump. 56:41 Still don't want to go up there. 56:44 >> That's fair. That's fair. You're a 56:46 little afraid of heights. It's a little 56:47 steep. 56:48 >> I wouldn't say heights. Look, I was I 56:51 was in the I was in the 300 level backed 56:52 with the Edward Jones Dome on the last 56:55 days uh you know that that it was 56:57 hosting people and and that's I I just I 57:02 feel like I might get the same vibe and 57:04 I don't know if that's the vibe that I 57:05 want. 57:06 >> Pete, it seems a little ridiculous even 57:08 asked this, but I'm going to do it 57:09 anyway. Are you taking the raise in the 57:10 series? I'd like to hear all of your uh 57:12 all of your series predictions, if you 57:14 will. 57:16 What is it when people say when they 57:17 don't want to talk about politics? Like 57:19 I think they're good people on both 57:21 sides. Um as long as each team has fun. 57:25 >> Look, this is how when I support 57:27 baseball, this is how I support 57:28 baseball. I hope that if anybody I know 57:32 pitches, they don't give up any runs. 57:34 And that's how I that is how I enjoy 57:37 baseball. 57:39 >> All right. Well, that's going to that's 57:40 going to continue to that that group is 57:43 going to be larger and larger. You're 57:44 going to see a lot of zero zero games in 57:46 the playoffs because you're going to 57:48 free agency again with the fact with 57:51 this looming thoracic outlet with the 57:53 fact that you had a one-year deal this 57:55 year with the fact that the Marlins 57:58 don't sign anybody, but they did sign 58:00 you. Did they have conversations or how 58:04 does that work for you? And what are you 58:06 looking forward to when you have these 58:08 conversations? Obviously before 58:10 September 2nd. 58:12 Yeah, I mean, you know, hopefully we can 58:15 knock it all out in the month of 58:16 November, but you know, it's it's going 58:18 to be another new experience obviously 58:19 going into it. Um, you know, rehabbing. 58:24 Uh, yeah, I'm my agent's already he's 58:27 been he was at the he was in Atlanta for 58:30 that that Braves Phillies game. He said 58:32 he was running comps in a Panera Bread. 58:34 So, I'm going to, you know, do what I 58:36 have done and trust him to uh walk me 58:39 through the process. But yeah, I mean, I 58:41 figure, you know, I at least got a 58:43 couple months extra of rehabbing, uh, 58:45 given that we're going to be locked out. 58:47 So, 58:51 there you have it. 58:54 My my question to you next is, uh, 58:57 there's a lot of stadiums in 58:59 professional baseball that come playoff 59:02 time are absolutely rockous. I don't 59:05 know if you've you've had a a chance to 59:08 play Yankee Stadium at all in playoff 59:10 atmosphere yet, have you? 59:12 >> Uh, no. We had to play in San Diego 59:15 against them last time. Last time Ray's 59:16 Yankees matched. 59:18 >> Beautiful. 59:19 >> It was on the West Coast. 59:20 >> That was beautiful. 59:21 >> Well, talk to me about how how difficult 59:23 it is on the road, especially at some of 59:25 these big time stadiums. 59:28 >> Yeah. Um, it gets loud. I mean, we 59:31 played in Boston in in 21 and they uh 59:35 you know, I was inside. I'd already I 59:37 think I threw an inning, two/3s or two 59:38 innings in game, was it four when we 59:41 lost? Yeah. Um so I'm underneath in the 59:44 weight room laying on the ground, feet 59:46 up on a bench. Uh whoever it was hits 59:50 the walk-off and I legitimately thought 59:51 that the weight room brick was just 59:54 going to fall down on my head. started 59:56 getting dust and little little concrete 59:58 shavings falling everywhere. Uh yeah, I 1:00:01 mean they're they're rockous 1:00:02 atmospheres. I think uh you know, you 1:00:04 get a once you get uh get to the games 1:00:07 that really count and and you get the uh 1:00:11 the diehard investment from the fan 1:00:14 bases. You know, I think that uh 1:00:16 anything that can get grown men to 1:00:19 scream at the top of their lungs uh 1:00:21 consistently typically makes for a good 1:00:23 atmosphere. 1:00:25 Pete, did you watch the Ray I mean the 1:00:28 Red Sox Yankees series? 1:00:30 >> I did. I did. I Anytime you give me four 1:00:33 baseball games in a row and my 1:00:36 leaguemandated MLB TV subscription. 1:00:38 Yeah, I had it right on the iPhone just 1:00:40 watching in every second of free time I 1:00:42 had. 1:00:43 >> Okay. Did you see Sunny Gray going to 1:00:46 his neck? And is there some concern 1:00:49 there that the umpires were not checking 1:00:51 the right thing? 1:00:56 Um, let's see. I mean, you could, if you 1:01:00 were a conspiracy theorist, you could, 1:01:03 or if you're a Yankee fan and you want 1:01:05 to be like, "Yeah, he was cheating and 1:01:06 it didn't like you can you can make 1:01:09 that." Sorry, somebody got a email alert 1:01:11 on there. Um, you can take that for what 1:01:14 it is. Personally, I thought it looked 1:01:17 like somebody that puts rosin on their 1:01:18 hand and then touches the back of their 1:01:20 neck. eventually 1:01:21 it's going to get to a consistency like 1:01:23 that. Now, the way that it he went to it 1:01:28 could be nefarious, could not be 1:01:29 nefarious. I'm pro pitcher, so 1:01:34 as long as they're turning a blind eye, 1:01:35 I could care less. 1:01:37 >> But there's no I I don't believe I said 1:01:39 on the show the other day, I do not 1:01:41 believe it was anything. Maybe it's 1:01:42 because, like you said, I'm a huge Sunny 1:01:45 Gay fan and so maybe my eyes are blinded 1:01:48 by that. But you go through those checks 1:01:51 after every inning. You come in, you go 1:01:53 through the checks. 1:01:55 Is there any possible way a pitcher can 1:01:59 get by with having something illegal on 1:02:02 his neck like that and then it get onto 1:02:04 his hand? 1:02:06 >> Look, 1:02:08 I have watched pitchers cheat prior to 1:02:13 this for years. 1:02:15 Uh, 1:02:17 you know, I would say that we're in this 1:02:18 mess because we had an epidemic of 1:02:20 people grabbing the thumb of their glove 1:02:23 and going like this real blatantly. 1:02:26 Um, 1:02:28 so yeah, look, if you want to get a 1:02:32 little extra drip, I'm positive you 1:02:34 could find a way to do it. Um, however, 1:02:39 nobody's that blatant about it, right? 1:02:42 Like you're not going to be out there in 1:02:45 this sticky stuff heightened era going 1:02:50 get that perfect amount 1:02:53 of bullfrog on my fingers and we're no 1:02:55 like 1:02:57 could it have built up? Sure. I I know 1:02:59 people that go to the rosin like crazy 1:03:01 and get sweat from whichever part of 1:03:02 their body is the sweatiest, you know. 1:03:05 >> I'm not too concerned about it and I 1:03:08 highly doubt that anybody that was 1:03:09 playing in that game was super concerned 1:03:11 about it either. 1:03:12 >> Yep. Pete, how much do you buy into or 1:03:15 take stock in the analytical piece and 1:03:17 and and again staying within that same 1:03:19 series, right? Uh Payton Holy getting 1:03:21 yanked, what I believe to be way too 1:03:22 early. Sunny Gray, who we were just 1:03:24 talking about, uh really has been over 1:03:26 the course of this year really good the 1:03:28 third time through the order. He wanted 1:03:30 the opportunity to go out there. Um how 1:03:32 much stock do you take in the analytic 1:03:35 side of things and how does it differ in 1:03:37 your opinion if it does in the 1:03:38 postseason? 1:03:42 Well, given that I was on not on the 1:03:44 field, but in the bullpen for the uh 1:03:47 what people might call the worst early 1:03:48 hook of all time, it certainly made its 1:03:51 certainly made its rounds in the years 1:03:53 following. Um there's a bit of 1:03:55 >> talk about 2020 with Blake Snell. H 1:03:58 >> I don't could be could be I mean I think 1:04:01 that there's the eye test, right? Like 1:04:04 if your guy's out there 1:04:06 and nobody's made it to scoring 1:04:09 position, he gets a guy on, you know, 1:04:12 headed into seeing the top of the order 1:04:15 for the third time, puts a guy on. 1:04:19 There's a there's a bit of an eye test, 1:04:20 but also I'm a believer of if that's 1:04:24 what you do, that's what you do, right? 1:04:26 So, like you either have run it the 1:04:29 whole year where you've ran it off the 1:04:30 eye test and been like, "All right, I 1:04:31 think our guy can get this. We've let 1:04:34 him work through these situations 1:04:36 before. We're going to do it here." 1:04:37 Right? But then, you know, if you're the 1:04:40 if you're the team that always hooks it 1:04:41 early regardless, then you then you 1:04:43 continue, you know, to trust your 1:04:46 fireman and bring him in and and see 1:04:48 what he can do. 1:04:50 >> How much is that talked about? You were 1:04:53 you were there in that. How much is it 1:04:55 talked about afterwards? Because it 1:04:58 blows up on shows like this. It blows up 1:05:00 on conversations for everybody else. How 1:05:03 much do you guys talk about it? And is 1:05:05 it something like, "Oh boy, here he 1:05:07 goes. Chad Tracy, his third year in the 1:05:10 playoffs. He's going to hook him again 1:05:12 from the players, not from outside 1:05:14 sources." 1:05:18 I mean, look, 1:05:21 have you ever met somebody that's played 1:05:22 this game that doesn't love to complain 1:05:24 regardless of 1:05:26 the decision that's made? 1:05:29 >> Right. We're just We're just a group of 1:05:31 complainers. You know, 1:05:32 >> Todd doesn't complain. Relief pitchers 1:05:34 are complainers. Todd is not a 1:05:37 complainer. 1:05:38 >> Easy. when you get to when you got to 1:05:40 sit down there for however many innings 1:05:43 and you're just watching for that off 1:05:44 chance they call out and say your name, 1:05:47 >> you might you might complain a little 1:05:49 bit regardless of what's going on. It 1:05:50 could be completely unrelated. 1:05:52 >> It could be that you know you don't like 1:05:55 how the bullpin bench feels in certain 1:05:57 parts. You know, you're going to 1:05:58 complain about something. 1:06:00 >> Sometimes we complain about things that 1:06:03 we have no control over. Um, knowing 1:06:06 that we have no control over it, we just 1:06:08 like to complain. 1:06:10 >> Yeah, you're whiners. Complainers and 1:06:12 whiners. 1:06:13 >> I agree. You should hear Kratzy 1:06:15 sometimes. This guy, woof, man. 1:06:18 >> We've been here for over four years and 1:06:20 this guy, he's getting a little comfy 1:06:22 action. But anyway, 1:06:23 >> there's new there's new complaints about 1:06:25 everything. You know, we can we can find 1:06:26 stuff to complain about. 1:06:29 >> Yeah. every day when you got kids, 1:06:31 there's going to be one or two 1:06:33 complaints before the morning coffee. I 1:06:34 promise you that. 1:06:36 >> Um, 1:06:37 >> my last question for you. Um, I want 1:06:40 your prediction. Tell me what two teams 1:06:41 are going to make it to the World Series 1:06:42 and who you think's going to win, if you 1:06:44 don't mind. 1:06:52 um inel 1:06:54 I think I think Milwaukee and 1:06:58 >> you know there's there's things to be 1:07:01 said about rotations about this that and 1:07:04 the other. I think that this is the year 1:07:07 that the long option out of the bullpen 1:07:12 reigns supreme and I think Milwaukee 1:07:14 gets it done. 1:07:17 And on the American League side, 1:07:22 I don't know. Give me I mean, I wouldn't 1:07:24 I would love to see 1:07:26 um you know, the holy the holiest of 1:07:31 holies continue their their run the 1:07:34 whites out school of witchcraft and 1:07:36 wizardry uh do it. I think that that's a 1:07:39 that's a incredible story and 1:07:41 turnaround. So, um, in lie of actually 1:07:44 having to pick 1:07:47 against people that I know, I'm just 1:07:49 going to say let's let's go let's go for 1:07:50 Pope Leo. 1:07:53 >> Very Catholic of you. All right, Pete. 1:07:55 Good luck. I know a lot of people have 1:07:56 come back from uh thoracic outlet 1:07:59 surgery and have done uh really good. 1:08:01 Obviously, Zach Wheeler, Josh Beckett 1:08:03 came back, threw a no hitter. So, we're 1:08:04 wishing the best for you. Good luck with 1:08:06 that surgery. Look forward to see where 1:08:07 you land next uh next season. Appreciate 1:08:09 your time, man. 1:08:11 Appreciate it. Thank you. 1:08:12 >> All right, guys. We'll be right back. 1:08:37 Let's see how you guys did yesterday. 1:08:40 We're starting at zero postseason. Looks 1:08:42 like everybody hit. Good job. 1:08:46 >> Nice. It was It was crazy that we all 1:08:48 had the same line. 1:08:51 >> Most of you. Yeah. Except for Pat, 1:08:52 right? That's good. 1:08:54 >> Pap and Pap is in Fuego right now. 1:08:57 >> Yeah, he's always out on his own. He's 1:09:00 constantly rogue. Where are we going 1:09:02 today? What are you guys doing in terms 1:09:04 of uh who you're picking? 1:09:08 >> Go ahead, Karthy. 1:09:10 >> I am taking the Rays tomorrow. The Rays 1:09:13 first five innings to be up by a run. I 1:09:17 think the Rays are going to jump out on 1:09:18 top of the Yankees. Garrick Cole. I 1:09:20 think it's going to be a lowscoring 1:09:22 game. I think Drew Rasmmanson is nasty 1:09:26 and he's going to be in there for the 1:09:27 first five. So, I'm going first five 1:09:30 >> the Rays going to be winning by a run or 1:09:33 more and that's paying minus 102. 1:09:36 >> Okay. So, that would get out of the red, 1:09:40 >> if you will, if you win today. Um, all 1:09:42 right. What about you? 1:09:45 >> You can have that first five. I think 1:09:47 Cole, Garrick Cole with a little more 1:09:49 days rest and the guy throws a lot 1:09:52 better. I've seen it before. I think 1:09:54 they're going to beat the Tampa Bay Rays 1:09:56 and again, I agree, lowscoring game. I 1:09:59 think both guys are going to go into the 1:10:01 seventh inning and we're going to see 1:10:03 which bullpen can take care of business. 1:10:05 I think the Yankees are going to find a 1:10:06 way to win a close one. 2-1, two 1:10:09 nothing, 3-2, that kind of game. So, 1:10:12 give me the Yankees to steal game one 1:10:15 going up one- nothing. 1:10:17 >> All right. So, you guys are sticking 1:10:18 with the AL. And in terms of that 1:10:19 series, Yankees raise, I'm going 1:10:21 National League Padres's Milwaukee 1:10:23 Brewers. I'm taking Padres's on the 1:10:25 money line just straight up to win game 1:10:28 on Saturday. That's plus 180. Any game, 1:10:31 any play this postseason, guys, use the 1:10:33 parlay boost token this weekend on post 1:10:36 B postseason MLB action. Score a bigger 1:10:38 payout if your parlay wins. gambling 1:10:40 problem or concern, call 1800 gambler. 1:10:43 We're coming right back. Stay with us. 1:11:03 It is time now for In the Weeds. It is 1:11:06 Yankees. It is Tampa Bay. Cole over 1:11:08 Carlos Roodon in game one for the ALDS. 1:11:13 Um Chris T Chris Kersner rather tweeted 1:11:16 the Yankees routinely get criticized for 1:11:18 being too analytical, but this is a 1:11:20 decision that plainly goes against the 1:11:21 numbers. Todd, you're a Yankee guy. What 1:11:23 do you What do you make of it? 1:11:25 >> Yeah, I this is a hard decision because 1:11:27 of how good Carlos Rodon has been and 1:11:31 what he did to the Rays the last time he 1:11:33 faced them. Uh the dude 16 starts, three 1:11:37 runs or less in 16 straight. I mean, you 1:11:41 can't really be better than that. And 1:11:43 then and then that was the decision even 1:11:44 in the wild card. Does Carlos Rodon get 1:11:46 one of these starts? No, the Yankees are 1:11:48 going to stick to their guns. They're 1:11:49 going to get Garrick Cole game one and 1:11:52 then still kind of unsure. I'm sure it 1:11:54 will be Schlitler if I'm not mistaken. I 1:11:57 mean, I don't know why you wouldn't go 1:11:58 Schlitler game two so he so he can come 1:12:01 back and and get game five if needed. 1:12:03 Um, 1:12:05 yeah, it's a tough one, but they have 1:12:08 all the riches. It's a great thing to 1:12:09 have. I don't mind Carlos Rodon in the 1:12:11 bullpen. I don't mind Will Warren in the 1:12:12 bullpen. Um, what happens if, you know, 1:12:15 one of these guys can can't get through 1:12:17 three innings, then you have a Carlos 1:12:18 Rodon, but he deserves it. Rodon 1:12:21 deserves to get one of these starts. 1:12:22 Will he get it? I don't think so. But, 1:12:26 you know, they carried what, 10 pitchers 1:12:29 in the wild card and 16 position 1:12:31 players. that will definitely turn. Two 1:12:33 guys are going to be left off. So, uh, 1:12:36 positionwise in my opinion, um, we'll 1:12:39 see. We'll see. But, um, it it's it's 1:12:43 Cole's time from what I'm hearing and 1:12:45 what I'm seeing. Like, this was always 1:12:46 the game plan of them moving forward. 1:12:48 >> Yeah. Looks like Schlitler in game two. 1:12:50 Max Freed will go in game three. I mean, 1:12:52 that's an embarrassment of riches as far 1:12:53 as their starting rotation is concerned. 1:12:55 The Yankees are stacked. EK, does it 1:12:58 surprise you considering game one is 1:12:59 such a, you know, a momentum game, such 1:13:02 a statement game? 1:13:05 >> No. I mean, if you're leaning on Carlos 1:13:07 Rodon because he's left-handed, I don't 1:13:11 think the Yankees feel like they're 1:13:12 putting their best team out there 1:13:15 overall, I don't think they're going to 1:13:16 throw Garrick Cole out of the bullpen 1:13:19 after, you know, he hasn't even, you 1:13:21 know, he was he was missed the entire 1:13:23 season last year. So, I think there's 1:13:25 part of that. I also think like man what 1:13:29 what an embarrassment of riches to be 1:13:31 able to say yeah you know what Rodon 1:13:34 might be a better matchup but Cole is to 1:13:37 me you're going Garrick Cole I'm I'm 1:13:39 going Garrick Cole every time I don't 1:13:41 care what it's like one of those things 1:13:42 when you look at a scatter report and 1:13:44 you go this guy really hits sliders well 1:13:46 I throw 80% slider so am I not throwing 1:13:48 a slider like you got to go your best 1:13:52 versus their best and Garrick Cole is is 1:13:56 up there. He's proved he's earned this 1:13:58 spot. Not that Carlos Rodon hasn't, but 1:14:01 man, this is why you signed this guy. 1:14:03 This is why Cashman said that was his it 1:14:07 was his white whale when he signed him. 1:14:09 And 1:14:11 this this is his spot. I think there's 1:14:13 more value for the entire Yankees team 1:14:15 to have him start and Rodon available in 1:14:19 case something happens, when something 1:14:21 happens, whatever it is. 1:14:24 The extra day off, guys, allows you to 1:14:27 bring your game one starter back for 1:14:28 game four if need be. So, that's part of 1:14:30 the uh decision-making process, I'm 1:14:32 sure. But what a weapon it would be to 1:14:33 have Rodon coming out of the bullpen. 1:14:35 Um, obviously not what he's used to 1:14:38 doing, but obviously still a very good 1:14:40 pitcher. All right, so we may not see 1:14:42 Aaron Judge in the in the DS. Uh Jeff 1:14:44 Passen had an article that dropped 1:14:46 earlier that his status is up in the 1:14:47 air. Um, and it's unlikely to be decided 1:14:50 until shortly before the series begins 1:14:52 on Saturday. So, some of the some in the 1:14:55 organization want him to play, others 1:14:57 wary of wary of him further aggravating 1:14:59 the injury. Um, I mean, this is getting 1:15:02 it's he's your best bet. And if he can 1:15:06 go, don't you have to let him go? 1:15:09 >> For sure. Um, most definitely. And now 1:15:13 this is, excuse me, not only him, you 1:15:16 got the big G as well, Stanton. I know 1:15:18 he was on the roster in the wild card. 1:15:21 Is he a guy that gets moved off the 1:15:23 roster knowing that there's other guys 1:15:25 that can play better defense? Um, 1:15:28 this is their decisions are so hard 1:15:30 because you have a lot of great guys you 1:15:32 could pick from. 1:15:33 >> Um, yeah, if if Aaron Judge is 60% 1:15:38 >> or even 50%, I think he's a dude that 1:15:41 that you put in there. Uh, I know calf 1:15:43 strains are a pain in the butt. I know 1:15:45 what Mike Trout went through. Uh, 1:15:46 whatever the grade they gave him, I 1:15:48 don't even think they even came out and 1:15:49 gave it. I think he should have said a 1:15:50 mild strain or whatever it is. If he 1:15:53 says he can go, I'm putting him out 1:15:55 there and being cautious with him. I DH 1:15:57 him. You might have to move Ben Rice, 1:16:00 you know, back to first base and 1:16:01 somebody else might, you know, like 1:16:02 Garcia might have to wait his turn a 1:16:05 little bit. Um, 1:16:07 Goldmith, same thing. So, this is a 1:16:10 tough one. I know Aaron Judge wants to 1:16:11 be out there. He's talked about it. He 1:16:12 want to be out there in the wild card. 1:16:13 He thought he could. Um, another week 1:16:16 off. if they can find a way to win, I 1:16:18 think that would be huge, too. So, if 1:16:20 he's on, it changes everything uh for 1:16:23 this team. If he's not, then, you know, 1:16:25 Stanton probably stays on there again. 1:16:27 So, we'll see uh moving forward. 1:16:30 How much of a disconnect is there? 1:16:32 Because I love watching interviews, what 1:16:34 guys are saying, what Boon says, and 1:16:37 they're just not meeting eye to eye. But 1:16:40 the reality is, I think everybody in 1:16:41 each situation is saying exactly what 1:16:43 they're supposed to say. If you have a 1:16:44 player who's like, "Don't know if I can 1:16:47 go and they're like 70%." 1:16:50 Then what kind of player is that? And if 1:16:52 an organization's like, "Run him out 1:16:54 there. I don't care how hurt he is. We 1:16:56 don't play. We play hurt in this 1:16:58 organization." Then what kind of 1:17:00 organization is it? So everybody's 1:17:02 saying the right thing for the Yankees. 1:17:06 I guess the focus because you they said 1:17:09 it. They said they don't want to 1:17:10 aggravate it more. The focus is we're 1:17:13 planning on doing big things. We're 1:17:15 planning on making it to the ALCS. We're 1:17:17 planning on making it to the World 1:17:18 Series and we want him. Do they make it 1:17:21 without him? Do they get by the best 1:17:24 team in American League without him? I 1:17:26 don't know. And that's why that's why 1:17:29 I'm not sure it's good to sit him out. 1:17:32 to me you give him he was disappointed 1:17:35 he came out of the first game he played 1:17:36 after his 80 whatever 81 day rehab that 1:17:41 he had for his rib like it is a it is 1:17:46 like they're not they're not seeing eye 1:17:48 to eye on these injuries and what he 1:17:51 feels like he can play and what the 1:17:53 organization feels like is the best team 1:17:55 to put out there. Isn't that the point 1:17:57 though that the Rays are not the Red Sox 1:18:00 phrase? That this is going to be a lot 1:18:02 harder than the wildcard round was for 1:18:04 these Yankees and if Aaron Judge is a 1:18:07 50% Aaron Judge or a 60% Aaron Judge, 1:18:10 I'm putting them in there. 1:18:12 >> Yeah, a agreed. I mean, you think about 1:18:14 the three-headed monsters of the Rays 1:18:15 who they have there. I mean, starting 1:18:18 out with Diaz and uh, you know, moving 1:18:20 forward with the group that they got, 1:18:22 it's it's hard to get by them 1:18:26 one time, two time, three times in a 1:18:28 game without one or two of those guys 1:18:30 doing some damage. Uh, Aronda, I mean, 1:18:34 there these it's just they are so 1:18:37 quietly good. It it it's like disturbing 1:18:40 sometimes just how you sit back like, 1:18:42 how's this team doing it? Well, they got 1:18:44 great culture. They got good camaraderie 1:18:46 and and I and I think they just play the 1:18:48 game the right way. So, um yeah, it's 1:18:52 just it's hard to figure out when they 1:18:53 get on base, they cause so much havoc 1:18:56 and they will take the extra base and 1:18:57 they will do the little things, get the 1:18:59 bunt down and actually score and maybe 1:19:01 leak out a bunt for that was a sack bunt 1:19:03 and a hit. Seen it done before. They are 1:19:06 very baseballs savvy team and they're 1:19:08 quietly taking the AL by storm. 1:19:11 >> All right, guys. Um, I tell you, it's 1:19:13 going to be an interesting uh I guess I 1:19:15 should have kind of circled this one, 1:19:17 too, as far as a series that I'm 1:19:19 interested in seeing because it is going 1:19:20 to be um All right, your last hot take 1:19:23 for this one. The Rays and Eric, we'll 1:19:26 start with you. The Rays and the Yanks. 1:19:27 What's What's your What's your hot 1:19:28 What's your X-factor, I guess? 1:19:31 >> The My X Factor. I got crushed because 1:19:34 my X factor was somebody and they were 1:19:36 like, "That's not an X factor." So, my 1:19:38 hot take for this series, 1:19:41 my hot take is it's going to come down 1:19:43 to a Spencer Jones at bat or play in the 1:19:48 field. That's the size of the series. 1:19:51 >> Oh man, I'm I'm I'm sticking with Ben 1:19:53 Rice. If Ben Rice stays hot and 1:19:56 Bellinger can find a way to stay kind of 1:19:58 even killed, this Yankee team will find 1:20:00 a way to win this this this fivegame 1:20:02 series for sure. 1:20:04 >> All right. Are you saying it? Are you 1:20:05 taking them in five or you think uh they 1:20:07 get it done sooner than that? 1:20:12 >> It's hard. I think they do win the 1:20:14 series. I I think they're going to 1:20:16 squeak one out in Tampa and I could see 1:20:18 them winning in four at home. 1:20:20 >> Okay. All right, guys. Our next guest is 1:20:22 ready. Let us bring in Ken Rosenthal. 1:20:31 Inside Scoop is presented by the Fox One 1:20:34 app. Ken Rosenthal uh is covering the 1:20:37 Braves or Yeah, the Braves and Dodgers 1:20:39 upcoming series starting on Saturday. 1:20:41 But first, let's get to the Phillies who 1:20:43 are now uh making offseason plans. Ken, 1:20:46 good to be with you. You wrote recently 1:20:48 in the Athletic that they just can't get 1:20:49 it done and it is time for dramatic 1:20:52 action. Tell us more. 1:20:54 Well, this is a team that since the 2022 1:20:57 World Series has regressed in the 1:20:59 postseason every year. 23, they go to 1:21:02 the NLCS, take a three games to two 1:21:04 lead, going home to Citizens Bank Park, 1:21:06 and lose to the Arizona Diamondbacks. 24 1:21:09 and 25, they lose to the Mets and 1:21:11 Dodgers, respectively. And now they're 1:21:13 out in the wildard round after barely 1:21:16 making the playoffs. So, you've got an 1:21:19 aging group of players, bunch of guys 33 1:21:22 or older who are the core of your team. 1:21:25 It's Harper, it's Turner, Real Muto, 1:21:27 Schwarber, Nola, Wheeler. What are you 1:21:31 going to do to fix this team? What are 1:21:32 you going to do to make it better? And I 1:21:34 would suggest, as I do suggested that 1:21:36 column this morning, that they have to 1:21:38 consider anything and everything. And do 1:21:41 I expect them to trade Bryce Harper or 1:21:43 Kyle Schwarber? Absolutely not. I don't 1:21:45 expect that. And if anything, I expect 1:21:47 them to double down. But this is a time 1:21:49 for them to get creative and to maybe do 1:21:52 some things that will jolt this roster, 1:21:55 get it younger, more athletic, and into 1:21:58 a better position. 1:22:01 >> All right, so hear me out here, and I'm 1:22:03 not battling here or anything. I just I 1:22:05 I think about stuff in the past, you 1:22:07 know, and I know the Mets I I talked 1:22:09 about the Mets and they, you know, they 1:22:11 NMO was was a guy uh Jeff McNeel, they 1:22:15 didn't bring back Pete Alonzo, which 1:22:16 they had a really good chance to. Edwin 1:22:18 Diaz, they had a really good chance to, 1:22:20 and they got Sodo and, you know, Bette. 1:22:25 Talk to me. I I'm just I don't I believe 1:22:27 this team can still be really really 1:22:29 good with what they have unless they 1:22:31 find if they can find another piece to 1:22:33 the bullpen or another another starter. 1:22:35 You know, I I don't think it's in the 1:22:37 necessity for them to get rid of I know 1:22:40 they have a lot of free agents, but you 1:22:41 know, Alec Balm is one, you know, 1:22:43 besides him. Who else can step up? How's 1:22:45 the minor leagues? I I don't know. I 1:22:47 just don't think I don't think that's 1:22:49 the the the end all beall for them is to 1:22:52 find a way to get new guys in there. 1:22:54 Well, Todd, you make a good point and 1:22:56 the Mets are certainly a cautionary tale 1:22:59 for them. And I made the point in the 1:23:00 column that you lost Alonzo as the Mets, 1:23:04 a guy who was proven in New York. You've 1:23:06 got Harper and Schwarber, guys who are 1:23:08 proven in Philly. These are demanding 1:23:11 East Coast markets. And when you have 1:23:13 players who are capable of handling 1:23:15 those markets and thriving in those 1:23:17 markets, you've got to be really 1:23:19 reluctant to part with them. That said, 1:23:22 you can't ignore the age on the roster 1:23:25 and you can't ignore the defense that 1:23:27 was among the worst in the league. An 1:23:29 offense that at times was great, at 1:23:32 times inconsistent. So, what do you do? 1:23:35 Do you just run it back? I don't know 1:23:37 that this team warrants running it back 1:23:39 when, again, it's been a progressively 1:23:41 worse outcome in the postseason for each 1:23:43 of the last four years. It's kind of a 1:23:47 difficult puzzle to solve. and Dave 1:23:49 Dumbrosski, their president of baseball 1:23:51 operations, will be tasked with that. 1:23:53 And maybe, as I mentioned, they double 1:23:56 down and simply go sign a free agent or 1:23:58 two and bring back essentially the same 1:24:01 group. They could do that. It just seems 1:24:04 to me that after this amount of time and 1:24:07 not getting to where you want to be, you 1:24:10 would want to do something a little more 1:24:11 drastic. 1:24:13 One of the things in your article that 1:24:14 you kind of started out with was 1:24:15 possibly maybe a Trey Turner to center 1:24:18 field type of move that would shake up 1:24:20 the below average defense that they were 1:24:22 getting from him because they still have 1:24:24 seven more years of him. And you also 1:24:26 brought up the lack of bullpen. Are 1:24:29 those two things that could have been 1:24:32 that are those two things that can be 1:24:34 addressed and taken care of by Dave 1:24:36 Dumbrosski from his MO from his historic 1:24:39 Hall of Fame career. Has he ever been 1:24:41 successful in changing a superstars 1:24:44 position and building a bullpen 1:24:46 consistently over a couple of years? 1:24:50 >> Well, they've changed Bryce Harper's 1:24:51 position a couple of times now. So, yes, 1:24:53 the answer to that is yes. Trey Turner, 1:24:56 it seems that that is one thing that is 1:24:58 a certainty that he's going to move to 1:25:00 the outfield. His player shortstop is 1:25:03 simply not good enough anymore. It's not 1:25:05 to say he's a bad player or anything 1:25:07 like that, though he had a bad year, but 1:25:10 maybe getting him to center field would 1:25:11 unlock him a little bit offensively to 1:25:13 free him up overall. I don't know. But 1:25:16 they need better play at shortstop. 1:25:17 That's one thing. As for the bullpen, 1:25:21 it's been a bugaboo for Dave Dumbrosski 1:25:23 pretty much throughout his career. There 1:25:25 have been some exceptions. And bullpens 1:25:29 are tricky. They're tough to compile. 1:25:31 are tough to get quality understandable 1:25:35 performance out of year after year. It's 1:25:38 impossible. They're so volatile. So, 1:25:40 they've had some bad luck. Kirking went 1:25:43 backwards obviously and it just didn't 1:25:46 work out the way they thought it would 1:25:47 with him because of perhaps what 1:25:49 happened last year at the end of the 1:25:51 playoffs with the Dodgers. But there's 1:25:53 always a challenge for every team in 1:25:55 building a bullpen. And I don't know 1:25:57 that any head of baseball operations 1:25:59 would say there's anything 1:26:02 or any art to it or any science to it. 1:26:04 Some of it is just luck and hitting on 1:26:06 the right guys at the right times. The 1:26:08 Braves have built a really good bullpen 1:26:10 and yes, they've had in this particular 1:26:13 group a lot of success, but even here 1:26:17 Dylan Lee struggling down the stretch. 1:26:20 Eacius has been good. Suarez was out for 1:26:23 a time. It's just not a sure thing that 1:26:26 you can count on year to year, sometimes 1:26:29 even monthto month. 1:26:31 >> Is Dave Dumbrosski to blame for the fact 1:26:34 that the Phillies are a bottom five 1:26:36 considered minor league organization? 1:26:41 >> It does fall on him. Sure. And they are 1:26:43 considered that. Eric, you're right. And 1:26:45 as I wrote in the column, since Dumbrski 1:26:48 took over in December 2020, they've had 1:26:50 only two players drafted beyond the 1:26:54 first round who have surfaced with them 1:26:56 on their major league roster. It's 1:26:58 Kirkering and it's Alex McFarland. Not a 1:27:01 great record. Now, in the first round, 1:27:03 they've done okay, certainly, but we've 1:27:05 got to get players beyond that as well. 1:27:07 And overall, their system is just not 1:27:09 all that deep. Aiden Miller got hurt 1:27:11 this year. He was supposed to be the 1:27:14 replacement for Turner and still might 1:27:15 be, but that hurt them certainly. At the 1:27:19 same time, they've got to do better 1:27:20 there. 1:27:23 >> Ken, I want to ask you a little bit uh 1:27:24 just kind of focusing our attention now 1:27:26 moving forward with the Braves who 1:27:28 obviously are being hosted by the 1:27:29 Dodgers starting on Saturday. you had 1:27:31 addressed um in your article with the 1:27:33 Athletic that they didn't really 1:27:35 adequately um address their starting 1:27:37 pitching needs and is that going it they 1:27:39 did get past the Phillies obviously, but 1:27:41 you saw Chris Sale come out of the 1:27:42 bullpen. Um is that going to potentially 1:27:45 hurt them moving forward in this 1:27:46 postseason run? And if so, how? It's 1:27:49 funny, Alana, we've kind of been waiting 1:27:51 for it to hurt them since the start of 1:27:53 the season and they've danced around it. 1:27:55 They've done really well in patching it 1:27:58 together early in the season, especially 1:28:00 getting contributions out of guys like 1:28:02 Martine Perez. And now with Tyler Mali 1:28:06 coming on, it's been a tremendous 1:28:08 addition to the team. He was and has 1:28:10 been the best starting pitcher 1:28:13 performance-wise since the trade 1:28:14 deadline of the pitchers who changed 1:28:16 teams, even ahead of Scooble in terms of 1:28:19 what his RA was. So, they've done it. 1:28:22 They've got Mali in this series. 1:28:24 Obviously, it's going to be a bullpen 1:28:25 game in game one and then they'll just 1:28:28 have to take it from there, but 1:28:31 it's going to be a challenge for them, 1:28:33 no doubt. Now, Sale can come back in 1:28:34 game two. I didn't love them bringing 1:28:37 him in last night with the lead that 1:28:39 they had. I definitely understood it. 1:28:41 You want to close the thing out, you 1:28:43 have to win that day. But Chris Sale has 1:28:46 been basically handled very delicately 1:28:49 all year long for good reason. He's 37. 1:28:51 He's had an injury history. He hasn't 1:28:53 pitched on four days rest, normal rest 1:28:56 since, I believe, April. So, here's a 1:28:59 guy who's pitched on four days only 1:29:00 twice the entire season. And now you're 1:29:03 asking him to do something like he did 1:29:05 last night, which was come back out of 1:29:06 the bullpen on a day's rest off a start. 1:29:10 Okay. Does it cost him? Does it tax him 1:29:13 in game two? Because now they're going 1:29:14 to want him to pitch two and five with 1:29:16 Mali in three. We'll see. But again, 1:29:19 they had to advance. They did. You can't 1:29:22 question that. All 1:29:23 right, I'm going to go to the Dodgers 1:29:25 and because you work with Alano on fair 1:29:27 territory, I'm sure you hear about how 1:29:29 the Dodgers are struggling and all this 1:29:31 stuff and we just saw the stat. They 1:29:33 have a 100 wins. Are the Dodgers exactly 1:29:37 where they want to be going into game 1:29:39 one from where they wanted to be at the 1:29:42 beginning of the season and how they 1:29:44 built this team? 1:29:45 >> I would say pretty close, Eric. And 1:29:47 we're talking about health first and 1:29:49 foremost. And it's funny you mentioned 1:29:50 the 100 wins because the other day in a 1:29:52 column that was about competitive 1:29:54 balance, I wrote that they performed 1:29:56 below expectations. 1:29:58 And somebody from the Dodgers reached 1:30:00 out to me and said, "Hey, wait a 1:30:02 second." And I thought about it. We 1:30:04 probably were all expecting them to win 1:30:07 120 games. So from that sense, my 1:30:09 sentence was accurate. But to say a team 1:30:11 didn't perform the way it should when it 1:30:12 wins 100 games, it just shows you what 1:30:16 we do expect from them. And it's a high 1:30:18 bar. Obviously, right now, assuming 1:30:21 Snell is healthy, their rotation is in 1:30:23 great shape. Their bullpen is in great 1:30:25 shape. Diaz now throwing well again. And 1:30:28 offensively, while they've seen some 1:30:30 underperformance 1:30:32 at various times from various players, 1:30:34 they're in a pretty good spot. Freddy 1:30:36 thinks that he's going to figure it out. 1:30:38 Freddy Freeman during the break what was 1:30:40 wrong with his swing. If he wants to say 1:30:42 anything is wrong with it, he does 1:30:44 believe that. I don't know that others 1:30:45 would say the same. Mookie has come way 1:30:48 on in the last two months and Muny's 1:30:51 been consistent. Tucker has even been 1:30:53 better. So, they're in a great spot, 1:30:56 great position. Are they beatable in 1:30:58 this series? I don't think so 1:31:00 necessarily. I do like the Dodgers in 1:31:03 this series, but we'll see what happens 1:31:05 going forward. Nothing is guaranteed in 1:31:07 the playoffs. Nothing's guaranteed in 1:31:08 this game. And we've seen enough 1:31:13 inconsistency from the Dodgers at times 1:31:16 this season to at least wonder, okay, if 1:31:19 they run into a hot sale twice and they 1:31:22 run into Tyler Mi in game three as well 1:31:24 as he's been pitching and if I don't 1:31:27 know, the Braves can steal one in some 1:31:28 other way, who knows what might happen. 1:31:30 And that's what we're looking at here. 1:31:33 All right, Dave Roberts managed better 1:31:36 than I think anybody's ever going to 1:31:37 give him credit for the last two last 1:31:40 two world championships. The one he had 1:31:42 no starters, he won with all bullpen 1:31:44 guys. The second one, he had no bullpen 1:31:47 guys. He won with all starters. 1:31:49 Where is Dave Roberts going to pull a 1:31:52 rabbit out of the hat? Even though he 1:31:53 has an incredible team and all this 1:31:55 money, where do you see him possibly 1:31:58 needing to reach into his bag of tricks 1:32:00 to be able to get his team another 1:32:04 championship that's different from the 1:32:05 last two? 1:32:07 Eric, I don't know that he's going to 1:32:09 need to because of what I just described 1:32:12 with the pitching staff. Now, there is 1:32:14 some question who is going to close. 1:32:17 Will it be Sasaki? Will it be Tanner 1:32:19 Scott? Will it be Edwin Diaz? I don't 1:32:21 know. And the beauty of their situation 1:32:23 is they don't have a set closer. So they 1:32:26 can match up. If they need Sasaki, they 1:32:29 like the matchups in the seventh, go 1:32:30 with them there. If they prefer it in 1:32:31 the ninth, there are all kinds of 1:32:33 combinations that you could employ. But 1:32:36 that is the one question. Now, I don't 1:32:38 expect this postseason based on where 1:32:41 they are to be seeing Yamamoto coming 1:32:43 out of the bullpen on zero days rest 1:32:45 like he did in game seven last year. But 1:32:48 we'll see how this all evolves because 1:32:50 the one thing that they have done and 1:32:52 Roberts deserves as you said Eric a lot 1:32:54 of credit for this but really their 1:32:56 entire front office and collaborative 1:32:57 team deserve credit for adjusting on the 1:33:00 fly and adjusting to their 1:33:01 circumstances. They've done a really 1:33:03 good job of that. 1:33:07 >> For sure. We have to We'd be remiss if 1:33:09 we didn't ask one Otani question. 1:33:12 >> Is there any inclination that he's going 1:33:14 to need days off? And I know there's 1:33:17 days off that are built in, but as he 1:33:19 played through the end of the season 1:33:20 coming off his his injury, is there any 1:33:24 fear? Because they have set they set uh 1:33:27 Freeman down two years ago when he had 1:33:29 the ankle issue as they were going 1:33:31 through the playoffs and it helped them 1:33:33 have a healthy MVP of the World Series. 1:33:35 Is there any fear that they're going to 1:33:37 have to do that for Otani? 1:33:39 I don't know that going into the 1:33:41 postseason that they feel that and 1:33:45 obviously they'll have to see how he 1:33:46 feels and how he reacts and recovers one 1:33:50 day to the next. He is talking today to 1:33:52 the media so it's going to be 1:33:54 interesting to hear where he thinks he 1:33:56 is physically and it certainly seems 1:33:58 like he's in a better place than he was 1:34:00 before they had to put him on the 1:34:02 injured list. I would imagine Eric, it's 1:34:05 day by day and they're assuming he's 1:34:08 going to play, but if something comes 1:34:10 up, if that biceps or knee bothers him 1:34:13 on a particular circumstance, then maybe 1:34:16 they back off for a day. But you're 1:34:17 right, there are extra off days in the 1:34:19 offseason. In the NL side of the 1:34:22 division series, it's going to be two 1:34:23 games, day off, two games, day off, and 1:34:26 then the final game if necessary. So, 1:34:29 from that perspective, he should be 1:34:30 okay. and he's also coming off a nice 1:34:32 break here because they didn't have to 1:34:35 play in the first round. 1:34:37 >> We kind of uh gave a little inkling here 1:34:39 about Aaron Judge. Uh it was said that 1:34:42 there was still opportunity for him to 1:34:44 make this roster and to try and help the 1:34:46 Yankees win this divisional series. I 1:34:49 want to hear your thoughts on this. Um 1:34:51 my opinion, if he's anywhere near any 1:34:54 percentage, I think you put him out 1:34:56 there and just understand that he might 1:34:58 not be able to run 100%. but his bat is 1:35:01 going to play. I want to hear what your 1:35:03 thoughts is and what do you think our 1:35:04 chances are he does make an appearance 1:35:06 here and and makes a squad here going to 1:35:08 Tampa uh tomorrow. Well, my friends Joel 1:35:11 Sherman and John Haymon from the New 1:35:12 York Post have made the point repeatedly 1:35:15 that a calf generally takes much more 1:35:18 time than Judge would be giving you 1:35:20 credit for if indeed he plays. That's my 1:35:23 concern, Todd. Yeah, if he's healthy or 1:35:26 even remotely close to being healthy, I 1:35:29 want him out there. But what's the risk 1:35:31 of reinjury? Cast calfs, I'm sorry, are 1:35:34 tricky. And 1:35:36 how is he going to be with regard to 1:35:39 hitting, running, playing the outfield? 1:35:41 Even as a DH, he'd still have to run. 1:35:43 And man, the worst thing that could 1:35:46 happen would be if he reinjured himself. 1:35:48 And remember, he wasn't that great when 1:35:51 he came back by Iron Judge's standards, 1:35:54 of course. And I just don't know the 1:35:57 idea of him standing in the box and 1:35:59 being intimidating is enough. I think 1:36:02 you need a healthy Aaron judge to be 1:36:04 really confident about including him on 1:36:06 the roster, especially when if you don't 1:36:10 include him and he's not right 1:36:12 physically. Maybe you get him for the 1:36:15 next series rather than the possibility 1:36:17 of him playing again and then needing 1:36:20 more time and possibly missing series if 1:36:23 the Yankees advance. That's my concern. 1:36:25 It's just a tricky injury. We know that. 1:36:28 And if he's not right, what are you 1:36:31 doing here? You're putting it him kind 1:36:33 of in harm's way. And that should be the 1:36:35 last thing they're thinking about. 1:36:37 >> Ken, we look forward to uh seeing you 1:36:39 and hearing you on the call this weekend 1:36:41 on Fox. Braves at Dodgers. You guys are 1:37:38 so beautiful when you show your pearly 1:37:40 whites. Look at that. Look at Freys. 1:37:41 Great. Great smile. All the chicklets in 1:37:43 in a straight line. I tell you who is 1:37:45 smiling, kids. That is Tori Lavell. the 1:37:48 skipper with the Arizona Diamondbacks. 1:37:50 It has just been announced that he is 1:37:51 going to return as the manager of the 1:37:53 Snakes on a 2year deal. So Todd, we'll 1:37:57 start with you. Um, good for Tori, one 1:37:59 of the, you know, he's a guy I admire a 1:38:01 lot in this game. Looks like he's coming 1:38:03 back for at least two more. 1:38:05 >> Yeah, this is great. You always want to 1:38:08 reward good people. I like Tory, too. 1:38:10 Whenever I played against him or or saw 1:38:12 him around, always a great guy to talk 1:38:14 to. I've heard nothing but good things 1:38:16 about the guy. Um, this Diamondbacks 1:38:19 team's got to find a way though get 1:38:21 going. I mean I mean listen Marte, where 1:38:24 would they be if Marte, you know, 1:38:25 absolutely or just played some of those 1:38:28 games, you know what I mean? So, not to 1:38:31 take it out of that being the only 1:38:33 reason why they didn't make the 1:38:34 playoffs. I think it's going to be 1:38:35 different. I think Toriy's going to find 1:38:37 a way to get these guys going and get 1:38:39 them get a little more jolt into them. I 1:38:41 know that West out there's tough with 1:38:42 the Diamondback or with the Dodgers and 1:38:45 the Padres's. So, we'll see what they 1:38:47 can do, what they could come up with and 1:38:49 try and make that wild card next year. 1:38:51 But congratulations to him and his 1:38:53 staff. This is really cool. Big reward 1:38:56 again. 1:38:57 >> Yeah, I mean, I think he he deserved it. 1:39:00 I think the opening and some of the 1:39:02 rumors about him possibly getting a job 1:39:05 somewhere else. Seattle, there's an 1:39:07 opening there. you know, most likely 1:39:09 Philly, there's going to be openings. 1:39:11 So, you know what? It's always nicer 1:39:14 when you go to contract negotiations to 1:39:16 say, "Well, I could go here. How much 1:39:20 did you like me?" And ironically, it all 1:39:22 really just runs parallel with Mike 1:39:25 Hayen's contract, which I think he 1:39:27 signed before last season. And so, 1:39:30 they're there together. We know how 1:39:33 great a friends they are. We know the 1:39:35 things they've been through in their 1:39:36 life together. It's well documented and 1:39:39 to me I thought Tory Lavella with the 1:39:42 stuff that he had to deal with the fact 1:39:43 that he was in the West had this team 1:39:46 made the playoffs had they beaten the 1:39:48 Phillies out manager of the year in the 1:39:51 NL would have been a tough competition 1:39:54 between him and Pat Murphy because the 1:39:56 Cel Marte stuff I I I disagree with 1:39:59 Todd. I think it did affect this team 1:40:02 and I think it is on Cel Marte to come 1:40:05 back next year and be like, you know 1:40:06 what, you know, I I got to change some 1:40:08 things because I think Tory Lavella did 1:40:10 so many things to try to keep that 1:40:12 together to try to keep the other 25 1:40:14 guys on the roster saying why you 1:40:17 spending so much time on this guy. I 1:40:18 know he's our superstar, but and so 1:40:22 yeah, good for the Diamondbacks for 1:40:23 bringing him back. Good for Tory Lavell 1:40:25 for not saying you know what, I'll just 1:40:27 take whatever you guys got. I'm sure 1:40:29 there's some good negotiations till this 1:40:32 till this finally got taken care of. 1:40:34 >> You're way nicer than me. I know that 1:40:36 he's their superstar. I know he has 1:40:38 money tied up, but I would cut bait with 1:40:39 Catel Marte and move forward without him 1:40:41 because he's it's there's 26 men in that 1:40:43 clubhouse. It shouldn't all be the focus 1:40:45 on one guy just because he's your 1:40:46 superstar. Um, this is not the first 1:40:49 time Catel Marte has has pulled these 1:40:51 types of shenanigans. So, Dan Wilson is 1:40:53 gone. Uh, Joe Espada, for all intents 1:40:55 and purposes, is gone as well. Um, so 1:40:58 but it doesn't look like Tori Lavell or 1:41:00 the B or the Diamondbacks need to be 1:41:02 looking for a new manager anytime soon. 1:41:04 Yesterday, Tori spoke to the media about 1:41:07 how he decompressed once the season 1:41:09 ended. 1:41:10 >> I took I took Monday, Tuesday, and part 1:41:13 of Wednesday to just answer zero 1:41:15 questions. I mean, I had people in this 1:41:16 room text me. I apologize for not 1:41:19 texting me back. I just went radio 1:41:20 silent. I just told myself I had to I 1:41:23 had to emotionally unplug a little bit. 1:41:26 And um I wanted I wanted to just take 1:41:28 time for myself and my wife and you know 1:41:30 we watched Ted Lasso first episode to 1:41:33 the last episode in two and a half days. 1:41:35 So that's where I was and when it came 1:41:38 time to discuss it um you know I opened 1:41:41 up the discussion with Mike and to me it 1:41:43 was a situation um that I wanted to be 1:41:45 back here um you know and both parties 1:41:48 were interested in that and I just felt 1:41:50 like it it it was the right thing to do. 1:41:52 I had a lot of emotion leading up to 1:41:54 that last game. I had a lot of thoughts 1:41:56 leading up to that last game. You guys 1:41:58 can probably only imagine what it had 1:42:00 been like for for me personally, even 1:42:02 though it wasn't a personal situation. I 1:42:04 wanted to make sure I made it about the 1:42:05 team. 1:42:07 >> I mean, it just shows how exhausted he 1:42:09 was in my opinion. 1:42:11 >> Talked about it yesterday. 1:42:13 >> Like, we talk about the travel. Oh, 1:42:15 travel in the postseason so tough. Never 1:42:17 have I ever met anybody who's like, "Oh, 1:42:19 I'm so exhausted in the postseason." 1:42:22 You're running on this natural 1:42:24 adrenaline high that only gets 1:42:28 exasperated, multiplied when you get to 1:42:30 the stadium and then when the game 1:42:32 starts, you just are just everything is 1:42:34 just bubbling at a different level. 1:42:37 Think about that in Tori's case where he 1:42:40 had to deal with all of this crap along 1:42:43 with like it would have been exhausting 1:42:44 if he had to deal with the Cel Mart 1:42:46 stuff if they were losing if they were 1:42:50 not a good team. They were trying to 1:42:52 make the players. They're pushing every 1:42:54 game. He's like a you know who's going 1:42:56 to be who do I need up here? Who's 1:42:58 ready? And he's he's definitely a very 1:43:00 intentional manager. That's why he's 1:43:02 good at what he does. It's why he gets a 1:43:04 lot out out of his roster. And when 1:43:06 you're intentional and you put your 1:43:07 emotions out there and you put you 1:43:09 invest in people, it's draining when you 1:43:12 don't always feel it come back to you. 1:43:14 So, good for him. Go go go watch some 1:43:16 Ted Lasso. Maybe just the original 1:43:19 series, you know, I'll save my I'll save 1:43:22 my critiques for another show on on the 1:43:26 last on the last season, but 1:43:28 >> tremendous. Ted Lasso is actually a 1:43:31 really really good show to watch if you 1:43:34 want to know how to be a coach of of 1:43:37 men, of women, of you know, kids, 1:43:40 whatever it is, because it's not about 1:43:42 the X's and O's as much as it's about 1:43:45 the relationships. 1:43:46 >> It's all about managing personalities 1:43:48 and that's what you have to do in part 1:43:49 of the uh the X's and O's and putting 1:43:51 together a lineup and those types of 1:43:53 things. You have to be a psychologist as 1:43:54 well and I think Lavell is one of the 1:43:56 best at doing that. Uh you talk to guys 1:43:58 that have played for him. Todd, you 1:44:00 mentioned playing against him. Um they 1:44:02 love the way that he communicates. He's 1:44:03 a straight shooter. Um and Tory Lavell I 1:44:06 just think is is a good baseball guy. Uh 1:44:08 but you're right, Eric, they do need to 1:44:10 get past the hump uh and get further 1:44:12 into into the season. All right, guys. 1:44:14 Baseball fans, it is time to lock in. 1:44:16 Loreno remmineralizing pouches are 1:44:19 nicotine-free. They are made with 1:44:21 powerful neutropics to keep you mentally 1:44:24 sharp, ladies and gentlemen, while 1:44:26 supporting your teeth. Fabian 1:44:53 Ardia, who writes for The Athletic, 1:44:55 covers the Dodgers in conjunction with 1:44:57 our friend Katie Woo. Uh, the Dodgers 1:44:59 will start Trick Scooble in game one of 1:45:01 the NLDS. Multiple sources with 1:45:04 knowledge of the situation have told The 1:45:06 Athletic, I have heard this as well. Um, 1:45:09 so this is a choice. Carrick School 1:45:11 obviously in game one. It looks like 1:45:12 it's going to be Blake Snell in game 1:45:14 two. Yoshu Yamamoto, uh, Todd Frasier in 1:45:18 game three. Do you like this? You like 1:45:19 the uh, the rotation if it is set up 1:45:21 this way? 1:45:23 I thought you were going like his whole 1:45:24 name. Yoshimo Naba Yamamoto Todd 1:45:27 Frasier. That would be a really cool 1:45:29 full name. 1:45:32 Listen, what's your name? Yoshi Yamamoto 1:45:34 Todd Frasier. That just just rolls off 1:45:37 the tongue. 1:45:38 >> I I don't care who they throw. Honestly, 1:45:40 they could throw Yoshimoto Todd Frasier 1:45:43 and I think they're still going to be 1:45:44 fine. This team is is set for anything. 1:45:47 Um they have, like you said, 1:45:50 embarrassment of riches. Their staff is 1:45:52 really good. I love Blake Snell. I 1:45:53 absolutely love him on the mound. I want 1:45:55 him to be healthy. Um I think Scooball's 1:45:58 the right play here. See what he does. 1:46:00 Get 12 to 15 strikeouts every game. What 1:46:04 say you, Kraty? Yeah. What say you, 1:46:06 Dodgers? Watch out. This team gets hot 1:46:09 at the right time and it's usually Wait, 1:46:11 hold on. Tomorrow. Okay. 1:46:16 >> Ready to go again. Is is Blake Snell the 1:46:20 better choice over Yamamoto? Does it 1:46:23 line up better for rest? How is that? 1:46:26 Ter Scubble 100%. And for every team 1:46:29 who's at home, every team who has a 1:46:32 struggle with their starting pitching in 1:46:34 the postseason, just everybody needs to 1:46:36 know that Ter Scubble was available to 1:46:38 all to all this season in July. You knew 1:46:43 where you were in July. It's not like an 1:46:44 offseason acquisition where you had to 1:46:47 pay him the full 30 million. It's not 1:46:49 like, you know, you had to give up some 1:46:51 of your prospects, but you know what, 1:46:53 the best team who everybody's, oh, the 1:46:55 Dodgers, they went and got him and now 1:46:58 he's their best pitcher. That's why you 1:46:59 throw game one. You throw your best 1:47:01 pitcher. That's why I'm confused why 1:47:03 Yamamoto is not out there in game two. 1:47:05 But hey, in Dave Roberts, you trust. You 1:47:08 would take Trick Scooble over Yamamoto 1:47:10 just in general on principle or you do 1:47:12 think Scubble is better than Yama 1:47:14 overall? 1:47:18 >> Oh. Oh, 1:47:21 >> man. I mean, I I guess they've both 1:47:25 shown that they have that that that they 1:47:28 have, you know, given up runs in the 1:47:30 postseason. I don't know. I I can't I 1:47:33 hate sitting on the fence, so I need to 1:47:35 have an answer. 1:47:36 >> Yeah. Get off. Scoo is better. I think 1:47:38 Scoo's better. 1:47:40 >> Why? 1:47:41 >> I'm gonna say Yamamoto. Yamamoto is 1:47:43 better because he has done it longer. 1:47:46 But Yamamoto did give it up against the 1:47:49 Phillies last year in his one bad 1:47:51 postseason start. But I'm still going 1:47:52 Yamamoto. 1:47:53 >> Yeah, but he also posts every fifth or 1:47:55 sixth day and was going to come out of 1:47:56 the bullpen in the at 18 in game 1:48:01 >> and was the World Series was the World 1:48:02 Series MVP. 1:48:05 I chose. 1:48:06 Easy, easy, 1:48:10 chose. You got You got You got real You 1:48:12 put your hair. Hey, did you see the 1:48:16 fight come out? Oh my god. Oh 1:48:19 >> jeez. You got You got really angry, 1:48:21 Alana. I don't know what Scott never 1:48:23 gets this mad at me. 1:48:26 >> I love it. 1:48:26 >> Because his Mets are never in the 1:48:28 postseason anymore. So, how could Scott 1:48:29 get mad at you for this? All right. 1:48:32 >> What? What? What phrase? What? 1:48:35 >> To button it up. I saw school ball live 1:48:38 in in Cleveland a year ago and just blew 1:48:41 me away. And I think he had what 14 1:48:44 strikeouts and it was just with no 1:48:46 offense honestly. Now he has offense. 1:48:49 That's why I give him the upper hand of 1:48:50 being but listen you it's 1 A 1 B and 1:48:53 it's 1 A 1A. I don't care who throws 1:48:55 first of them. I would just and you know 1:48:58 what I go what Lazardo did to uh the 1:49:01 Braves in five innings or whatever it 1:49:03 was. Shut him down. Another lefty that 1:49:05 throws hard. So I I I like I like 1:49:07 schoolable start in game one. I think 1:49:08 that played a factor too. I'm not not a 1:49:11 big one but a little one. 1:49:12 >> This this rotation's disgusting. I mean 1:49:15 it's it's good. No matter who you throw 1:49:16 out there, I think it's going to be 1:49:17 good. Moving on. Joey Ortiz is 1:49:19 progressing in the right direction. Uh 1:49:21 Pat Murphy said he's still dealing with 1:49:23 some pain. This is from Curt Hogue. Uh, 1:49:25 but the Brewers are planning on him 1:49:28 being available. Um, that would be a 1:49:30 good thing. Correct, gentlemen. You want 1:49:32 this guy. 1:49:35 >> He doesn't start every game. So, yes, 1:49:38 you want him, but I mean, he's not gonna 1:49:42 he's not going to be out because you're 1:49:43 gonna have Cooper Pratt out at second, 1:49:45 Ortiz at third, but 1:49:50 you know what? Yeah. Obviously, you need 1:49:52 him. I think the Brewers the Brewers 1:49:55 superpower here, the fact that they're 1:49:57 the best team in the National League 1:49:59 statistically wise is their depth. So, 1:50:03 if their depth is not intact, how do 1:50:06 they run How do they run the best team 1:50:09 out there for all nine innings, all five 1:50:11 games? 1:50:13 >> Spot on. Spot on. You got been there, 1:50:16 though, like camaraderie. You need that 1:50:18 type of dude in the bench, too. So, yes, 1:50:20 for sure. 1:50:21 >> All right. This did not age well. John 1:50:23 Clark, reporter for NBCS Billy, tweeted 1:50:26 this. Wouldn't see this many empty seats 1:50:28 in Philadelphia. Talking about the 1:50:29 recent wildcard match up between the 1:50:31 Braves and the Fighting. 1:50:33 >> How about this? Ben Taylor uh had this 1:50:37 to say. You will this weekend. 1:50:40 >> I mean, tremendous. 1:50:43 >> Tremendous. 1:50:44 >> Hey, Krat, I said it though. I I was 1:50:46 watching this game. I said it out loud 1:50:49 to my son. I'm like, man, there's just I 1:50:51 wasn't saying it demeaning, but I was 1:50:52 just like, there's nobody at these day 1:50:54 games here. I guess everybody's working. 1:50:56 And 1:50:56 >> yeah, somebody's got to make some money 1:50:58 to make to pay for the tickets. Goodness 1:51:01 goodness sakes. 1:51:02 >> For good for good for Jolly G. Yeah, for 1:51:05 sure. 1:51:06 >> Tell you what, 1:51:07 >> two o'clock games, two o'clock games are 1:51:09 not that easy to get to. Come on. Like, 1:51:12 I don't care if it's Atlanta, Philly. 1:51:14 People are like, "Oh, we'll take a day 1:51:16 off." Like, all that stuff. 1:51:18 >> Different fan base. different fan base, 1:51:20 >> but it's definitely a different like 1:51:21 Atlanta fans have seen a lot of 1:51:23 postseason. Atlanta fans will show up. 1:51:25 Don't don't worry about it. They'll 1:51:27 they'll be there. 1:51:28 >> Like the just like the Houston fans, 1:51:30 they said they're a little they're a 1:51:31 little entitled, right? 1:51:32 >> Yeah. Well, I tell you that that did 1:51:34 surprise me a little bit. I get it's an 1:51:36 earlier game. I I completely get it. But 1:51:38 Dyen Park had a lot of empty seats. And 1:51:40 I know people say it all the time about 1:51:41 Dodger Stadium. I get it. That stadium 1:51:43 is an absolute [ __ ] to get in and out 1:51:44 of though. And the traffic in LA is 1:51:46 crazy. So, I do get it. They're there. 1:51:48 >> They are at the They are at the Dodgers 1:51:51 game. You just can't get into your seat 1:51:54 right from the start of the game. 1:51:56 Something is holding you up that 1:51:57 >> you got to know. You got to know Alana 1:51:59 Rizzo. If you don't know Alana, you 1:52:01 ain't getting in, dog. 1:52:02 >> It is insane. It is a very difficult 1:52:04 park to get in and out of. Guys, 1:52:05 remember to check out our White Socks 1:52:07 merch, including our uh Celebrate uh 1:52:10 Celebrate for T-shirts for what the 1:52:12 hell? For Sean shirts.
