What is a credit?
One successful request: a transcript (on the website or via the API), a page of search results, or one AI answer such as a summary or study notes. Requests that fail cost nothing.
Are AI chat, summaries and the other AI tools free?
They need a free account, and each AI answer uses 1 credit: chat with the video, summaries, notes, flashcards, quizzes and chapters. A free account starts with 100 free credits, shared with transcripts and the API, so there is no separate AI plan to buy. When they run out, buy a top-up or pick a plan. The same credits work on the website and in the Chrome extension.
Which plan is right for me?
Individual plans suit reading transcripts and asking AI about videos, on the web and in the Chrome extension. Developer plans give many more credits for the API and automations, and each credit costs less.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Buy a 1,000-credit top-up from your dashboard ($2.50 on Monthly, $1.50 on Annual and developer plans), or move to a bigger plan.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your dashboard and your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Without an account you get 3 transcripts a day to read and copy. A free account gets 100 free credits, no card required: each transcript, with downloads in every format, uses 1 credit, up to 5 a day, and AI and the API use the same credits. Paid plans have no daily cap; every transcript still uses 1 credit.
