YouTube Subscriber Count FAQs
Is this the exact subscriber count?
It is the count YouTube shows publicly. For channels with more than 1,000 subscribers, YouTube rounds that number (for example 21.4M), and only the channel owner sees the exact figure in YouTube Studio.
Why does it show a dash instead of a number?
The channel owner has chosen to hide the subscriber count. YouTube then doesn't show it to anyone, so no tool can read it.
How is "average views" worked out?
It is the average view count of the channel's newest uploads (up to 15), leaving out premieres and live streams that have no views yet. It shows how the channel is doing now, not over its whole history.
Is the subscriber count checker free?
Yes. Looking up a channel is free, with no account or signup.
Can I check a channel from just one of its videos?
Yes. Paste any video link and the tool finds the channel that uploaded it.
