Niche research → original script outline
A faceless channel lives on its scripts. Watching the ten most popular videos on a topic takes hours; reading their transcripts takes minutes, and shows what the audience already responds to: how each video opens, the order of its points, and the questions it leaves open.
What you get
- The most relevant videos for a topic, with their transcripts
- How each one hooks the viewer in the first 30 seconds, and how it is structured
- The questions none of them answers well
- An outline for your own video, built around those gaps

Set GYT_API_KEY to a key from the developers page. Each transcript, list page or channel check costs one credit.

curl -s -H "Authorization: Bearer $GYT_API_KEY" \ "https://getyoutubetranscript.com/api/v1/search?q=how+compound+interest+works&type=video&limit=10"2. Read each one with timestamps (1 credit per video)

Limits to know
- YouTube does not monetize mass-produced or repetitive content (its "inauthentic content" rule, in force since July 2025). Use transcripts to research and outline, then add your own script, angle and visuals; never re-voice another creator's words.
- Captions carry speech only: what is shown on screen (charts, B-roll, text overlays) is not in the transcript.
- Search results reflect YouTube's ranking at the moment you ask, not view counts.

Questions
What does researching one topic cost?
One credit for the search and one per transcript: ten videos is about 11 credits. New accounts get 100 free credits.
Can I do this without code?
Yes. Connect our MCP server to Claude or ChatGPT and paste the prompt above, or open each video on the website and copy the transcript into your AI assistant.
Is it allowed to use other creators' transcripts?
Reading them to learn what an audience wants is research. Copying their script, or re-voicing it over stock footage, is reused content: YouTube will not monetize it and the creator can claim it. Write your own.
